Greater Denver area Nepalis were treated to an evening of Deep Shrestha performing live, accompanied by his wife Sophiya Gurung, last night (Friday). Local musical talents (Bijay Adhikary and Shree Krishna Sunuwar, both of STX, and others) provided the musical ensemble.
Here are some of Deep Shrestha's songs:

It is definitely a trip back in time to Radio Nepal afternoon programs.
But you may be disappointed by the albums on sale (Dristi, by MUSIC NEPAL, CD and Cass.). Many of his more popular songs are not included in the compilation. I am left with his less familiar songs to imagine Deep Shrestha's yatri in ...

This program is definitely not for little kids who cannot sit still (I don't blame them). If Deep Shrestha is coming to your town, please take this rare opportunity to feel the _Meethaaas_ of his voice. And make alternate arrangements for your kids.
