Thanks for sharing the article Truth.

With the new Government in power and increasing pressure from U.S (and Pakistan), India is bound to do something stringent about the issue. Hopefully they won't goto the extent of deploying military force, the way they did in Srilanka.
Nepal's foreign nation policy plays a major role now. It is tragic that we haven't solidified our own political infrastructure, after which a solid foreign policy can be drafted..Nepal alone cannot defend itself against any threat (even Bhutan).

Pre-emptive doctrine!!

not a very bright idea but if dhotis really come in nepal like us went to iraq it will be fun yaar.mula haru lai khoji khoji marna ta ramailo po hola ho.............new vietnam hunchha ho..........after all ahile nai po k kam chha ra haina........the idea is exciting.......even the dim wit knows that dhotis wont take over our country just fuk around with us so technically we get to kill them.......of course lots of us will die too but what the hell............dhoti lai marna paune bhaye pachhi ta ma all ready............sayeu barsa samma dhoti sanga pidit huna pareko badla lina painchha.tyo pani rana bhumi ma....bring it on guys.

It is definitely not a time right time of militiary intervention after the recent happenings in Iraq and also the assasination of fromer Indian PM Rajeev Gandhi. India would definitely not intervene militiarily in Nepal.
But yeah soon, it will definitely take major steps to counter the Maoist insurgency in Nepal. No, country be it India, or any other nation, would tolerate such activities in its neighborhood. And is we take a close look, whatever is going on in Nepal is not good for the whole of South Asian region. At this time, the Maoists issue is not as relevant as the tussle between the King and the political parties. The developments in Nepal are not good.
India would definitely intervene, if political parties and King do not take serious steps to come close to resolve the Maoist issue. It is a threat to India as well, so it would definitely take steps.

jaya_nepal..!!!

India should intervene militarily in Nepal and kick the shit out of the Maoists, Depose the King, take the Narayanhity palace and introduce real democracy in Nepal.

Indian Democracy is being hailed worldwide right now, Nepal is 200 years behind india no matter how much nepali bitches at indian dhotis.. dhotis rule over nepalis and we all know it. and by having our king and the politicians and no real human rights and democracy, it is the people that are essentially ALLOWING our own politicians to ruin our beloved country..

GROW up people and let good things happen to nepal.. bithching and moaning wont help anything

just a thought.

Who would you think Indian army will send to Nepal if they did decide for military intevention? First to come in would be the gorkha regiment. So that means nepali killing nepali. Not a comforting thought.

This is just another article with indian biasness ..there would be numerous others ....work of a writer is to write n work of the reader is to read n judge. Intervention is never an issue n will never come if india is serious enough n give back those PRACHANDE N BABURAME...they surely know whereabouts of those people. N there axns presently r seeming to be in the right direction.

What do our fellow Sajhaites think of the following unrealistic scenario for a moment:

Nepal being annexed to India without a bloody war (just like Sikkim) with the provision that regional government would still be elected by Nepalese. What will we lose? Our identityýýýincrease in kasmiri terrorists?ýý...what else?

Haami swabhimani nepali ko man ma gahiro asar parlaýýýýCall me a traitorý.but we will at least be a nuclear powerýand goods will be cheaperýýýDirect foreign investmentý.no more threat of nakabandiýý..no more special additional tax on Banaspati gheeýýý..no more shifting of Eastman Kodak from Nepal. And we wont have to beg for alms from India to construct purba-paschim rajmarg. And no more kaalapani and Tanakpur. Railwaysýýýbetter utilization of electricityýýýýý and cheap bikes for the young guys of ktmýýýý..endless possibilities.

The so-called leaders would be the biggest loosers I guess in this very unrealistic scenario.

Any thoughts on this?

I think you should be packed to Mental Hospital in Ranchi (India). That's where you belong to. Belive me, BOY.
