Once he built missles a nation's defence
Now he cant even give birthday presents
---------Iron Maiden

Was that a reference to Mr. Reagan? Just wondering.

I dont have much knowledge about his policies, I am afraid. 9In fact i dont have much knowledge about anything) But I guess, among other things, his efforts led to the reduction of nuclear arms in US and USSR.

May his soul rest in peace.
Dr. Strangelove Posted on 06-Jun-04 06:52 AM

Sad to hear of the OLD GIPPER's demise. Although not the brightest, he was instrumental in dismantling of the old USSR and the end of the bitter cold war and the arms race.

R.I.P

Although many credit Reagan for the fall of the Soviet Union, the reason why it fell was due to America's policy of containment, rather than stringent policies, the type we see advocated in today's America by the neocon crowd. That Russia was headed towards an implosion was easy for anybody to figure out.
Great Communicater perhaps, but an overrated guy.
Nevertheless, a patriot and one of the most popular presidents ever. RIP.

So what?

While growing up, Regan was one person I really wanted to meet, it never happened. I was near by his estate at Bel-Air to pay him a tribute.

May his soul rest in peace.

we were too little to know about his political charisma...but neverthless, he didn't attack Russia presuming they had weapons of mass destruction :) that's all i can say.

Mikhael Gorvachev was somone i always looked up to as a restless child :)
