Sense Ji: Since she is in IN, allow me to suggest you to explore St Cloud State or some other state instituions in MN where one only needs to pay in-state tuitions. Correct me if I am right in assuming that she came here for her school very recently and so she needs to take her summer classes??? Ani there are tons of options for cheap colleges, she should be able to find about it if she looks for it. Ask her to talk to people, make calls and write emails. Uhi Rajeev, CT, Amrika |

There are some colleges in Dallas; called Northlake College, Brook Heaven College. Cost per semester for 12 credit hours is only $1100.00. Please tell her to email me, and there are lots of Nepalese female students living together in an appartments. Me and my family are ready to help her if she wants to come to Dallas. Thanks. |

OR you may look for on-campus jobs, which could automatically lower your tutions and fees, or atleast you only have to pay In-State tutions and fees that is almost like paying at community colleges. Soon or later you have to come back to 4 years school no matter what. Therefore, my best suggestion would be finding options inside the campus rather than bouncing around one college to another and another......So you don't waste your invaluable time. |

Well.....I am here in Texas.....If you are looking something like community college...i can name you some...I attended Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas....I liked it but you have to have TOEFL for that. It's good college and it's cheap as well.....if she wants some more info..tell her to e-mail me. My e-mail add is "ramprasadji@wmconnect.com"..... Ram Prasad |

Sense, First of all, If your friend has come as a student , she has to take 12 credit hrs/9 credit hrs to transfer to any other college in US after the 1st semester even though she is here for summer semester in school. Rule is that she will be in status if she takes 6 credit hrs but it doesnot let her transfer the school. So ask her to take 12 credit hrs if she plans to move to any other college after summer semester. I found this out when I was trying to get my sister transfered to another school after summer. Same situation like yours. There are plenty of colleges in Texas Brookhaven, Northlake and so on. For transfering to Northlake tell her to call this no and ask for to transfer to International office. She can give her address and they will send her application form or she can download the form online aswell. She has to have Toefl though. http://www.northlakecollege.edu/ Fax: 972-273-3138 Email nlcintl@dcccd.edu or send mail to: North Lake College International Student Center 5001 N. MacArthur Blvd Irving, Texas 75038 USA She needs to fill out the forms, send a financial statement(Bank) of her sponser with adequate funds, copy of the school certificates and Toefl score. Tell her to keep in touch with the international office by calling them and they will tell her if she needs to send anything else. Same process as before when she came in IN. GoodLuck! |
