why does the US Government has a discriminating policy towards the students from Nepal? Its really surprising that the students from the South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh get the student visa for five years.
dont you guys think its discrimination for the nepalese students when you pay the same as all other international students.

Some desi people too get visas for 1 yr. But some of them do get it for more than that. I'm yet to come across a Nepali who's got a visa for more than 1 yr from Nepal. A few who went to Canada got it for 2 yrs. Rather than short or long term, it's alarming to see many genuine students from Nepal not getting visas at all. The desi have it easy when it comes to securing visas as the US Gov. seems to think that engineering and science is everything.
