Hi all, This may be useful background info for who like the US ko National Public Radio. oohi ashu ktm, nepal ************** From: Franklin Adams [mailto:FAdams@npr.org] Sent: Friday, September 14, 2001 11:33 PM See number 3 below... NPR can be heard overseas a number of ways. Here are my suggestions: 1. In Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, to hear NPR 24 hours a day, you can tune in with a satellite dish and receiver. www.npr.org/worldwide/howto.html http://www.npr.org/worldwide/howto.html This is the holy grail of NPR listening. All of your favorites shows LIVE! Here’s the schedule: http://www.npr.org/worldwide/nprworldwide.html 2. NPR can be heard on a number of American Forces Network stations around the world including stations throughout Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Korea - www.npr.org/worldwide/carriage.html http://www.npr.org/worldwide/carriage.html www.afneurope.army.mil http://www.afneurope.army.mil 3. NPR can be heard for a five hours a day anywhere in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and throughout all of Asia on the brand new WorldSpace radio service. WorldSpace requires special radio that can be bought from www.worldspace.com . The radios are not expensive and work GREAT. We LOVE Worldspace and think that you will too! Here’s the schedule that features NPR: http://www.wrn.org/wsafrica1.html 4. Listen via the internet. I recommend that you try both www.npr.org http://www.npr.org org and the live feeds from our Member Stations. www.wamu.org , www.wbur.org , www.wbez.org , www.kcrw.org all have nice sites. 5. and finally, listen via shortwave. www.npr.org/worldwide/shortwave.html http://www.npr.org/worldwide/shortwave.html ***********************
