Since I have an unaccountable free hours in my hand, I would like to say something about my last postings. (The end of innocence):
I. I do not condone any killing whether in Urguay or in Somalia or in Afganistan, or in the U.S.
II. I don’t hear anybody telling Noam Chomsky to get out of the US because of his criticism of the US forign policy.
III. Just because I am the beneficiary of globalization I don’t think it is imperative to sing the virtue of globalization. There are millions and millions of people who live in less that a dollar a day. What about them? Where do we find the blame?
IV. To say differently I don’t have to be a cow to appreciate milk. Flip that coin. Just because I get milk everyday I don’t think it makes sense to tell millions of disenfranchised people to buy/get a cow, it will alleviate their misery.
V. Few (especially elites) have always found a way to benefit whatever the economic system, form of govt. etc.
VI. After the industrial revolution why has the capitalism failed so many people? Just as communism is a failure, Capitalism needs to reexamine itself. Laissez Faire is not the Savior of mankind. Few people’s wealth cannot and should not be justification for misery of millions who are at the receiving end.
VII. Last, I mourn for the people who died (my husband could have been one of them, btw) and I like to look at the unfolding events with cold eyes and ponder why it happened and what is next, what should be the solution.
PS As you can see from various newspaper, even in this board how the right wing is trying to cash in with this tragedy. Bush was not sure if he could get 20 million for the defense now the congress has passed for 40 million or is it billion? At what cost? Education? Why does not it reexamine its policy towards other faiths, countries? Short sightedness of aiding Mujahadeen against Soviet Empire has brought US here, now what? Killings in Guatemala, Peru, El Salvador – whose support did these murdrers get? I am neither left leaning Reds or right wing jumping or a Maria Calllas who sings in her beautiful voice the praise of Globalization and unconditional support of capitalism. I am just a person maybe a pragmatist, who does not like to sway where the wind blows.
PPS Now if you excuse me I have to go earn a home mortgage. The trappings of conventional life. Please go ahead and say whatever comes to your mind (I have realized it is futile to tell people read carefully). This is going to be my last response on this subject. As somebody has mentioned in this board a long time ago – kura ra kula lai jata mode pani huncha. I am the proponent of silence, unless it is absolutely necessary. I will be quiet for a time being and see ramita here in the board generated by my postings and meditate. Enjoy!

Well well Mrs Namita!!!
There is a time and place for everything. Last week when you vented out on US, I for one did not think it was the appropeiate. If you take a look around everyone from entertainment industry... to sports, everyone is mourning.Just think if you were in Nepal and put out a statement like that after an incident like in NYC, you would most likely be arrested. Thank god you live in this society and have that freedom.
If you were making less than a dollar a day you would not have all the privileges that you have today. Its easy for you to say all this because you are livng with all the comforts. And just because your husband is German does not make you a globalized individual. You are is still from Nepal, and you do still reside in the US. You owe it to both communities for putting you where you are today. As I said earlier,Don't bite tha hand that feeds you cause you'll starve to death(like the rest).
But I am still confused with what exactly you are trying to say.

The question is who is the actual moron here ? If you look back in the past threads, you will see that it was Mrs Namita who announced to the whole world that she was married to a German gentleman in medical profession.
You must be Blind because I did refer to her as Mrs namita. And who is this Ashu character you keep mentioning ? Well if I am Ashu's chamcha as you said. Then what are you to Mrs Namita ? If anyone's doing any ass-wiping, then it surely looks like you're wiping Namita's ass. OBSERVER And I don't think needs a chamcha like you who can't voice his/her own opinions. She sounds like a strong enough lady to handle queries and attacks that come her way.
So how about posting your own views and opinions and stop swearing at others who want to do so.
Where is it written in the rules of this site OR ANYWHERE that I or anyone could not have another opinion.
Namita was very well aware of the repurcussions of posting such an opinion. SHE DID NOT POST so that she could get all the wah-wahs. She seems to have been posting threads here for a long time now and seems "seasoned". She voiced her ideas and so did a few others!

If a person attacks her in a non-constructive way then its up to her whether she wants to retaliate or not.
