Hi all, I was busy yesterday with other commitments, and on coming back here today, I see that I have been a target of fair amount of attacks here. That is fine. I expect that to happen now and in the future. After all, attackers too need a motive to drive up the number of hits (pun intended!) here. I say that because, on balance, hey, I have learnt to look at the positive, optimistic side of things. On one note, I am heartened/delighted/pleased and impressed that even my anonymous -- have you noticed always, always anonymous -- attackers are spending their time reading and re-reading my thoughts and then sharing their colorful opinions about me with the rest of the world. That is good. On another note, I assure many readers and cyber-friends (who are free to agree and disagree with my thoughts anytime) not to be too concerned about these anonymous attacks. I mean, would anybody seriously believe a bitter attacker who PRESUMABLY is so ashamed of his own name that EVIDENTLY sees more value in posting under the name of "asstosh"? From a marketing point of view, this reminds me of China-made shampoo on sale in Kathmandu's department stores that brand itself as "Haed & Sohlders". See what I mean? On a serious note, though, this forum, thankfully, there IS room for these silly anonymous attacks just as there is room for brilliant or stupid voices like mine. And that, my dear friends, whether we like it or not, is what democracy is all about, and I have no problem fully accepting that and having fun with it. Talking of fun, I had a lot of fun taking apart -- that is, with counter-arguments that people may agree or disagree with -- Namita's muddled thoughts, WITHOUT attacking her personally. Though who insist --again anonymously, of course! -- on saying that attacks on her ideas are EQUAL to attacks on her person are welcome to remain misguided. So, the lessons: Be yourself though good times and bad times. Be confident. Have a sense of humor. Drive your anonymous attackers crazy. And have fun making this site the number one destination for thoughtful Nepalis all over. oohi ashu ktm, nepal
