if you don't mind my saying so, this e-zine sounds too preachy. and i really think you should work a little bit more on the layout. somehow it does not appear user friendly. this is my 3 cents worth of suggestion without being asked.

Hey! Chakrapath Buddy!
I am very soon moving to Chakrapath, i.e. will have
wonderful home as my permanent residence in Kathmandu.
What are you going to do in this Chakrapath.com,
how peoples around Chakrapath will get benefit of
Chakrapath.com ? If you want, or don't mind my
idea to you, why not you take one VIDEO aong
Chakrapath, one full lap along Chakrapath,
in an early & clear morning. I prefer morning,
because its comparatively free of vehicles such that
you can take clear picture of settings on left and right
sides of Chakrapath. ( ::I do have interest on Photography)
Chakrapath will turn to be
next generation NEW Road of Nepal. Its gradually
developing and its greatest characteristic is
the width of Chakrapath and its possible expansion.
As you know its right of way is 25m on right and left
side, thus totaling 50ms. Thats 2.8 m wide 14 lanes of road
plus foot path + bicycle lanes (5m wide on each side). I mean
its so wide road. It will surely be an artery line to heart of KTM
i.e. not more than in 10years from now. So, your
Chakrapath.com should make plan accordingly. Not only
in biz but, also in education (many schools will be situated
just on left and right side of Chakrapath), and what not.
First job of your Chakrapath.com would be to put
a complete VIDEO clip so that you can attract more
sponsors and make it worth to peoples living around
Chakrapath or have business around Chakrapath.
Meanwhile, I am expecting someone/group of great business
house(s) in Nepal with collaboration with foreign investors
think of laying TRAM (Electricity run City Train) on one
side of centreline of Chakrapath and make a complete
lap from left and right side serving the peoples around
Chakrapath. This can be achieved if your Chakrapath.com
can help in advertising the sites around Chakrapath.
The tram as time passes after 50years later can be
sifted to subway if they can make enough profit,
and Chakrapath has great business potential (i.e. 32KM
long road = 32 * 300 * 2 = 20,000 business shutters
in ground floor alone, if we imagine of 10,000 rent per
month (ground + 2 more floors on front line of Chakrapath)
so, there will be annual transaction of 2billion rupees just as rent.
(current price level)
Though, its too rough estimate and too ambitious number, but,
what will happen in next 25years? Please imagine it. If you
can manage 1dollar as rental for putting the data of each
shutter at that time, you can earn just 20,000 dollars for
providing automataed database.
(a relative of mine, who purchased a land in just less 20,000rupees
in 2030, was once 4,000000 = 200times). This number
will repeat again, once the Melamchi Water Supply starts working.
BTW, my prediction looks like SOM SHARMA ko KATHA
to some pessimistic peoples with limited idea, but,
it up to you how you view it and how you move it. You can
not deny that Chakrapath will be a great hub to Nepalis
of all kinds and your dot com might be the first step to
Chakrapath to many Nepalis. e.g. Booking of a lodge
room or bus ticket for a lone nepali from outskirt of Rara lake
or a tourist from Manhattan.
Meanwhile, if your site has information on Restaurants along
Chakrapath, let me know, I want to see the inforamtion
and try those restaurants or shopping centres when I travel
to Nepal next time.
Keep it up. Do not give up. I am sure you will pass through
the SAD(DLE) point, but, once you make it self sustainable,
then, it will move even if you want to stop it. Thats how
we living creators are created by god, and we are even
made to catch time, adjust with environment and ...
Lets learn something from Darwin, those who can not
struggle, will disappear. Nepal.org has already disappeared.
So, do not think of GOING into BUSINESS, but, GROW into
the BUSINESS. Thats what you can learn from Bill Gate
to a SONY or HONDA owners. Once you grow into
the business, you can jump from one to another, just
the way we see great business house doing in Nepal or
elsewhere. The CHOUBISH KOTHI, you might have
heard it, the owners of Manakamana Cable Car
can be taken one example. Biswo ji probably know
Laxman Babu of 24kothi Chitwan, the owner of
MCC. I am hoping them or people like them to think
of having investement in the Tram project along Chakrapath.
Chakrapath.com can be one great place to invite
such investors and open job peoples like me.
If you need service on TUNNELING or underground construction,
you can contact me (seriously joking). You don't need
foreign consultant. We can work out. No worry.
Keep it up. I wanted to convey my message, so the
aforementioned talks do not have smooth flow of contents,
but, I wish your Chakrapath.com will have smooth flow.
You should design to novice "chakrapath" peoples, and
should not mind replying to answers when they ask you
"Hey, where is the "ANYKEY", because I can not find it
on KEY Board". (The joke appeared in 1995 in Newsweek
or Times when internet just available to common peoples).

BTW, San ji is not it usual trend to have NEXT button
on right side and PREVIOUS button on LEFT side. When
I pressed unconsciously, the right as NEXT, the page
I found was PREVIOUS, and I had additional mental
pressure to remember that NEXT button is on left side,
especially, in this gbnc.org

Chakrapath is a non-profit e-magazine, which promotes literature, arts, photographs, and education of Nepali origin. Chakrapath has interest to hook-up with businesses to support these functions. Chakrpath also plans to support mental-health and health related issues in Nepal and of Nepali origins.

by the way GP your comment regarding the NEXT and PREVIOUS button is interesting. For me, when I put the cursor on top of the button, I can't help but read what it says. Maybe just personal thing.

It is usual style to put "NEXT" button on RIGHT side and
PREVIOUS on left side. This was just to avoid "CAUTION"
required before clicking the buttons. Buttons work as they
are, but, the alignment of BUTTONS might be useful. I
probably lacked in my explanation, or I am too much
expecting to be a machinary, like ROBOT. Or, you
misunderstood. In the GBNC main page, if you click on
bottom right corner (more topics) and go to next page where
you find list of old topics to. Then, you move to next pages,
you will find NEXT Button on left hand side and PREVIOUS
on right hand side. If you find it does not happen
in your computer, its probably, my computer has some
problem. Because I don't know much about computer.

GP ji, don't pay attention to pessimists. You have good ideas. I like what you wrote above, it is very CEO minded.
Let me rephrase what I meant to say. Chakrapath's function is to promote Nepali artists, writers, photographers and so on. Chakrapath also has a plan to contribute health, mental health developmnet of Nepali whether they are in Nepal or abroad. That is why Chakrapath has it "Well Being" section to offer well being education.
If you are serious about contributing photographs and other business ideas you can email to me instead of discussing here.
It is so easy to observe a cause and interpret differently. Observer, we are discussing a business for a CAUSE. There are people who are living in the US are in shock and anxiety attact due to terrorist attacts. You would know what it is like to live in New York if you are in New York. I experienced a LUCK when my seminar was on 89th floor of World Trade Building 1 on Wednesday, September the 12th at 8am, instead of Tuesday. There is a fear. You have a fear of BREATHING. You know the bacteria Anthrax is what they call it.
People are living in a same kind of fear in Nepal. Who is Maobadi? What does s/he look like? Is s/he my neighbor and I do not know about? When are they going to attact? Are they going to take over my house? Is there a bomb next to that pole?
What are you going to do observer? Just sit and observe. Wake up and smell the coffee and make it a latte with a hazelnut. The world is not the same anymore. Let people Work for the cause whether in a public place or whether in a private place. People fleeing Nepal like a salmon racing to give birth before they die up against a river flow. Everyone is talking about greencard lottery and asylum visa. Noone wants to stay home and I don't blame them.
At least GP ji wants to go back to Nepal and he has a daring project in his mind. I admire that.
Now I am going to shift my attention to politicians because politicians make the policy of a country. Politicians talk the talk, but what can they do? Everyone says that we should change the system. The politics of Nepal is bigger than life and it takes a person with the bigger than life to do anything. I thought about making a big impact in Nepal like you all have thought about one time or another. I observed for 15 years of BULL SHIT. Give a little, something is better than nothing is my motto now.
The first BS is saying Nepal should do this and do that from 10 thousand miles away in front of a tube. The first responsiblity of a Nepali is to BE YOURSELF. Become successful in who you are then apply that success for a CAUSE, whether it is personal, for a family or a society.
Don't get me wrong, I have observed successes of many Nepalis and I know them personally, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, dentists and IT professionals, and other people in different proffessions, who mind their own business and also contribute for a CAUSE.
Chakrapath is for a CAUSE and YES I am not ashamed to promote something that is going to benefit a lot of people. Observer, I sense you are very young person I do not know how long have you been observing, but let me tell you somthing brother people WROTE and WRITE unbeleivable things here for without any damn CAUSE. I was one of the advisors, who advised webmaster Sand Pradhan about displaying IP address so that we have less of NOTHING and more of SOMETHING. We have seen the changes haven't we?
To Oops... I don't want to say anything... Oops I did it again. I fired my secretary because she wasn't with the CAUSE. You probably heard of this before Sh.. happens. Oops happened, thank you for pointing that out. Maybe we can recruit you for a cause.
Anyway, I busted my rears developing, designing, researching, redesigning, cutting and so on to finally make Chakrapath presentable. I am proud to say that yes, it was all done by me with your support and criticism. I learned it all on my own how to design, redesign for the CAUSE. Manifesting the Unmanifesting, some of you probably remember the first page of Chakrapath. We have the power to manifest the unmanifest. And I do thank those of you who support it, give a feedback and contribute something, whether it is writing, arts or photographs.
Thank you very much.
Anyway, the message here is that if you put your mind, you can do anything. I love to contribute more, but I have to go back and do my business for the cause.

RP yes i am jealous of a doer like you who has a website that a 15 yr old can do a better job with. GP, everyone knows that it's MONEY that carries the weight and not how it's made. Don't you turn into an 'agent' when you see someone driving a Jaguar? maybe in your context let's say Mercedes. Money buys the things that can make your life luxurious and maybe even happy sometimes.
I'm not saying kill people for money or make money dishonestly. All I'm saying is that if someone has money, it's kind of lame to question how the hell they got all the money and I don't. GP go be a doer like RP and make some money instead of being all sore at others who have money, but then again I hear already that you and RP are connecting at some level already to manifest the unmanifest or is it the other way around?

Let me tell you something
Kris is driving Jaguar X-Type 2002 and renting out 2 villas in heart of Las Vegas. Yet, there is and would have been no reason to talk about it if your little mind did not have to start boasting your minute assets. LOL. RP you do the math and get some lesson in humility and being humble.
Let me tell you about my CAUSE - which is to teach the self indulgent people a lesson in humility and teach them about respecting others.

Hey I had completely missed out on this discussion. I was too much engrossed in the Kurakani section and reading the self indulgent egotistical maniac too much. so interesting. Kris is driving a Jaguar and RP is driving a "luxury Suv" wow! is this for real. Gpjee why don't you write how much you own and what kind of a car you drive. it gets more and more interesting. actually much better reading this than Ass-hu and chamchas like Nobody.

I know Chakrapath's founder personally. I was surprised to see that he is trying to contribute something for the nepali communities with chakrapath. He is well established professional in the US with a lot of familiy and communities ties. I support him 100% and I wish everyone supports him for the benefit of emerging wwriters and artists.

When i made a full lap along Chakrapath in KTM, I found it very interesting.
No where along Chakrapath, I could find a single 200m or long section
that is left vacated without house, and no where along the Chakrapath,
I found without peoples on the road, not even 10m early morning to
evening. Chakra path is developing in such a high pace, I could not
even imagine. When I was a student at Bagmati Driving school in
1988, as a beginner I could cover whole road to foot path without
any possibility of striking to peoples for my allocated 7km stretch.
Now, I was wondering whether I can drive there after 13years,
not as beginner but, as a driver with zero record of accident
in 100,000 km driving? Its amazing, peoples are walking at the
middle of Chakrapath and still accident rate is still low.
Keep up Chakrapath.com You have great future. After Birendra
and his family's massacre, I find two things in KTM:
1. Peoples are trying to get Internet connection at home
2. Peples are hanging Birendra's family photographs, and
even those who used to hate also hang their photograph
today. It clearly showed that they don't accept Dipendra
being the Killer in the night.
