Cyclist claims establishing record
A teenager from Biratnagar said he established a world record by reverse cycling 116 kilometres Wednesday in 6 hours and 19 minutes.
Santosh Niraula, 18, started bicycling from Kakarvitta in east Nepal at 7.37 AM and arrived to cheers of spectators in the industrial town of Birtnagar at 1.56 PM.
An American recorded a similar feat covering 109 kilometres in four hours. Niraula will press efforts to get into the Guinness Book of Records. nepalnews.com br Oct.10
