Looks like everybody is looking for nice humour pieces.

Jealousy:

[A nice joke I heard before. Somewhat akin to the one about frogs imported from
Bangladesh I previously wrote here.I don't who should be credited for this piece.]

An angler goes to fishing in one fine sunny day with his friend. After waiting for
a whole day and changing location here and there, he finally catches a fish. It
turns out to be a disappointingly small one, but is also capable of talking.

"Don't kill me", the fish beseeches, " I will take you to another place where there
are a lot of fishes." The angler isn't persuaded. "I waited for a whole day to find
you, how can I give you up?" He says. The small fish repeatedly and desparately
requests to spare his life. Finally, the friend of angler persuades the angler to
spare the fish.

Now the small fish leads both of the angler and his friend to a new place. When
they reach the destination, the small fish says to the angler, "This is the place.
Also, since you spared my life, I will give you whatever you want. But since
your friend was the one who really saved my life, I will give him twice what I
will be giving you."

The angler thinks for a minute. If I ask for a house, this friend will get two. If I ask
for 100 bigaha of land, this friend will get 200.No. No. Why should I provide him
so many things for free?He thinks some more minutes, and tells the fish, "cut my
one hand."

"Opportunist friends leave you in the moment of grief just like lice leave the dead
buffalo." (From Niti-Kathaa)

A lot of people claim they are friends of Paras. I don't doubt them. I have seen
Paras hanging around with the dregs of our society. The way he behaves, the
way he drinks, hits and runs, frequents disreputable places, he himself belongs
to the category of dregs. No wonder he had such friends.

There was a talk about one Mr Prakash Gurung in newspapers before. He was
swindling people of KTM by telling he was friend of Paras. He also had a quasi-
reliable manpower agency. (Paras's Saali is also a head of one of such manpower
agencies). Then there was this person called Amar Gurung, another disreputable
fellow who was instrumental in persuading widow of Praveen Gurung to accept
settlement in some monetary amount.

I can imagine a scene of Qing dynasty palace of China, where opium was
commonplace, and palace was a center of harems and eunuchs living off the
concubines of those harems being reproduced Narayanhiti soon.A profligate king
with only his turpitude to flaunt can't inspire the nation, and lead it in the 21st
century. The matter is not whether we want to forget or condone Paras or not.
The matter is whether he is rueful about his acts or not, whether he has
willingness to be changed or not. I always wanted to forget him, but his dad
threw him to us, his friends flaunt here in gbnc about the amity with him, and this
mandates us to state in no uncertain term that our crown prince is not yet
chastised, and will probably be not chastised in the near future since he is
sorrounded by such remorseless goons, so is now unfit to ascend to the throne.

And here is another piece I remember from "Ramro Rachana Mitho Nepali" by
Krishna Prasad Parajuli. It was an example piece. I have rehashed it here.
It was about Jun Goru ko Sing Chhaina Usko Nau Tikhe.I want to discuss it in
the context of names of our kings.

Birendra was named the most powerful. He was actually a shy individual who
was murdered by a coward son. His son was named Dipendra, the lord of lights.
Well, not necessary to tell that we never experienced anything darker. Our
new crown prince is called Paras(touchstone?).He is somebody not even an iron
wanted to be touched by. Prince Trailokya Bikram(mighty of three world) died
before claiming lost power from his enemies. Surendra(lord of gods) was a slave
of Janga Bdr Rana. Rajendra (lord of kings) died in captivity. Gyanendra (lord of
knowledge) has unmistakeably committed mistake by declaring Paras in a moment
when the new monarch was slowly regaining popularity after massacre. etc etc.
