Congrats to Sachit on his being elected the president of the
GBNC. Such an election to the presidency is much better than,
as in an unfortunate case in 1998, someone's mere selection
to it and then clinging on to the post with tooth and skin.
Sachit's message names and thanks those who call themselves
directors. This is fine and good.
But I wonder what made him NOT name and then thank his former colleagues on the Council: notably, immediate Past President
Sandeep Lama and others.
While Sachit corrects this oversight, let us all join in
THANKING Sandeep and others on last year's Council
for doing what they can for the GBNC all of last year.
May Sachit's team this year take the GBNC all the more
ahead.

Sandeep Lama definitely needs to be thanked for his hard work that he put in last year. I have personally seen him putting a lot of effort in making some GBNC events happen. I particularly remember the past dasain party when, he basically had to face the responsibility of doing the whole thing by himself, with the help of few others who were mostly non-council-members.
Great Job Sandeep, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

I also appreciated Sandeep's sending me personal
emails to thank me for my various Web postings,
and for giving space to Kamaiya-related news in
an issue of the GBNC newsletter.
Here's to wishing Sandeep Lama all the best.
