Hi all,

I am informally assisting some artist friends of mine in Kathmandu to apply to
art graduate schools in the US.

These are professional Nepali artists (male and female --educated and trained
in India, Australia, France and other places) who want to spend a year or two
pursuing something like an MFA degree at US universities.

These frends want to get a more solid grounding on stuff like art theory, art history, art criticism and so on while picking up new techniques and building up professionally valuable networks. And, yes, they all need, like most prospective Nepali students, substantial financial aid. Of course, they have checked out and are also cheking out the programs like Fullbright and so on

Stil, I'd appreciate any info any of you might have re: other helpful persons/artsits, programs they should check out, people they should write to
and stuff like that so that these Nepali artists have access to MORE information
to ultimately decide for themselves what they want to do.
