This picture will probably change when kantipuronline changes their main image, but what this is a picture of children in villages holding placard saying "I want my father back". Lots of people have been affected by the maoist insurgence, and the lack of any government intervention, besides filling thier own pockets and pushing the country's situation more and more into the gutter by practicing nepotism, corruption, and all other negative words you can use to describe a dysfunctional government.

As I looked at the picture, my eyes slowly filled with tears. Why do children in our country have to suffer so much? Can't anyone do something about it? In my opinion it all boils down to corrupt government. The solutions is right there. We need to get rid of all these politicians who are there to make money for themselves. We need a government run by people who do not care about money too much. I am sure that there are lots of people in Nepal and or abroad who think that they could do a much better job as politicians. And whose main intention is to develop the country and NOT make money out of it (well some salary would be fair). I think these people should unite, and make a political party - devoid of all the ta-chhaad ma-chhaad. A political party that actually want to develop the country. That would be something else, wouldn't it?
