Dilemma: Part II
Dear Bostonians,
This Saturday, November the 17th from 11 A.M.-4 P.M. there is going to be a fund raising event. This fund is going to the ‘ Association for Dalit women’s Advancement of Nepal (ADWAN).’ This is a five year old program. Please email me via GBNC board if anybody is interested to contribute to this organization.
I know the woman who started this program. She is currently going to Pine Manor College here in Boston. She was the first woman to finish 10th grade and 1st person to go to college from her village. She is dedicated to her cause and if you visit her village you will see the impact of her hard work.

Briefly “ADWAN is currently responsible for involving over 700 women in four districts in Nepal: Ilam in the East, Mugu in the Far West, Ghorkha in the West and Jhapa near the Indian border. ADWAN hopes to expand the program to other geographic areas, and to expand the scholarship program.”
