Karishma Manandhar? Prachanda and Karishma? His goons are supposed to be against every thing Karishma represented. The talented actress entered in screen with the image of modern miniskirt-wearing actress from Santaan. I am not sure if she doesn't drink alcohol, but I am sure she is not against it. Her films are often crass mixtures of violence, sex and other vices of capitalism. And Prachanda travelling kilometers to watch her movie? [Well, I like her ,and Bipana Thapa, among Nepali actresses, No doubt.]

It seems youth are same everywhere. No matter what kind of veil you use, you can not hide your basic insticts. Prachanda how will you convince your comrades who want to keep women wrapped from top to bottom and want to impose behavioral restrictions. When you like this modern nepal sex symbol in silver screen why dontu want wanna be karishmas to cat walk on the ramp? Prachanda ! after all these u also turned out to b a hyppocrate....keep it up.

Harvard, I don't know where you read about how the Maoists wanted their women to be covered head to toe. From what I've heard, they seem to give equal footing to women. I've seen pictures with Nepalese women leading troops. I saw women decked out in camouflage wear and wielding M-16's ordering her team around. I think a lot of women are joining the Maoists because of this. Unfortunately the Maoists have gone off on a tangent and seem a bit out of control. They often look more like hooligans than a political movement. And for all his spitting down on 'mediocrity' Prachanda's stance is a bit too extreme for my cat. His confidence (naivete?) about fighting the Indian Army is quite amusing. Seems to have a quite a bit of chutzpah. If this guy gets his way, I wouldn't be surprized (like someone suggested on this forum) that Maoists become like Al Qaeda and start launching Sept 11 attacks against India and the Nepalese people become sitting ducks to Indian attacks like the Afghanis are today (to American attacks). Who are the Maoists funded by anyway?
