"Like great artists or invenors, visionary companies thrive on discontent. They understand that contentment leads to complacency, which inevitably leads to decline.

The problem, of course, is how to avoid complacency -- how to remain self-disciplined once a company has attained success or become number one in its field. How can a company keep alive that "fire that burns from within" that impels people to keep pushing, to never be satisfied and to always search for improvement?"

Assuming GBNC.org were a company (which it is not, but let us assume it anyway), we must NOT rest easy, and must keep at our various disagreements and discontent. The key is NOT to take such disagreements and discontent so personally that it stops you from working, but to use them to explore further opportunities for growth (broadly defined).

Harmony is all fine and good, but seeing how much disharmony we see/sense in Nepal and how little we all, includig our leaders can do about it, perhaps the first goal of visionary Nepalis should be to spend their youth MASTERING the craft of dealing effectively with disharmony, chaos and emotional landmines.

Long live sch discomfort and long live discontentment. For if handled well, they lead us to more progress -- on and off the Web
