does anyone know transit visa requirement while going through hongkong? the chinese embassy says that we need visa even just to hop onto another plane in HKK . is this true or just a way to suck some $ in?

Anil, you don't need a visa to stay in hongkong airport for transit. my friend spent 23 hours in the airport without visa few days back.
