Hi there, Some of us from our company attended this workshop. I'm wondering why this was called a workshop in the first place when it was more of a presentation (well, you might be wondering.. nepali ta ho complain gari halyo...). Anyway, the presentation was quite good and though the concept was quite common it made us realize and see it from a different (and intresting) perspective. I think KM is not only for the companies or big organizations to implement but it is for the individuals as well. Think how better we would be off if we could manage what we know (though it would be a very difficult thing to practice). However, I'm more intrested in the japanese way of KNOWLEDGE CREATION rather than the european way of KNOWLEDGE MEASUREMENT or the american way of KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT.I hope others will share more on this stuff. For any of you who are intrested in KM www.sveiby.com is a very good site. Hope more discussions on KM will follow in this site. Amar

Hi Amar, Great to hear that you attended this "workshop" urf presentation. I was happy that the hall at the Yak'n' Yeti was packed with so many attendees. Re: the Japanese way of knowledge-creation, may I recommend the book: "The Knowledge-Creating Company : How Japanese Companies Create the Dynamics of Innovation by Ikujiro Nonaka, Hirotaka Takeuchi, Hiro Takeuchi" If you are in Kathmandu (and I think you work in the info-tech field, right?) I'd be happy to loan this book to you. I request you to register yourself here on this site and send me an email. Let's meet for chiya-siya and guff suff about KM. oohi ashu ktm, nepal
