>Hi everyone, > >Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary's opinion piece has >been >published in today's (december 1st) ko >Kantipur >daily. In it, Dilli sets forth a rationale >for >the ongoing "jagga andolan". > >If you have time, please do read it by >visiting >www.nepalnews.com > >Special thanks to Kantipur's Guna Raj Luitel >and >Narayan Wagle - both senior editors -- for >their editorial help. > >oohi >ashu Hi Ashu: Good job, man. And though I have some nagging question about the demands that you or Dilli has forwarded to the nation, which I had posted before but no one thought it necessary to answer,I don't doubt the intent and end of what you guys are trying to do. Plainly:If I were you,I would demand/pressurize for vocational trainings, which Dilli so summarily denounces. Allocating land doesn't increase national GDP, doesn't alleviate social problems, and the proponents of land allocation(as long as I understand,10 Kaththa demand is subject to bargaining..) doesn't say how they will prevent the lands from being misused, and what they think about thousands ubiquitous paupers of the nation! Proponents of social reforms often display one historical weakness:they tend to portray all others speaking unfavorably of their ideas as 'anti-reform'.This way, they deprive their own movement some valuable insights.Probably, that is why, a lot of movements degenerates into chaos, and their leaders becomes transmogrified into yet another demagogue.
