finally it's ready for the premier although not in its full form yet.

http://www.gbnc.org/sajha/html/index.cfm

Basically this is what sajha.com is:

A site that will bring together nepalese communities.
Questions you are bound to have: What's the difference between GBNC and Sajha.com? How will it affect the current users of GBNC?

Currently, GBNC.org has been able to become a portal for Nepalese people from all over the world for discussing about interesting topics. The only set back for gbnc.org to become a worldwide portal is that people from elsewhere cannot actively use the site for things like events and news local to their locations, look into classifieds that's only for their location, etc.

Hence, to cater to this ever growing involvement of Nepalese communities from all over the world, I am introducing SAJHA.COM which will seek to bring together Nepalese communities by offering customizable location specific homepages, that will share the common KURAKANI, but the events/news/classifieds/etc will be locaiton specific.

Currently some functionality does not exist yet, but please do take a look around. IE Customize it, and see how login/registration has been made easier for you (if you are registered) - You will not have to reregister because I will be using the db from gbnc.org

Why the link is not working? It worked when I typed the same thing on url location. Really easier, user friendly.

Where is the HUMOR section San? I will die but visit without humor section.

San,
Instead of "Nepali sabaiko sajha", doesn't "Sabai Nepali ko Sajha" sound better?
just my opinion..

Sanji:

The new appearance (and name of gbnc site?) is definitely a beautiful one. Good
job, sir.

so when things are final, does gbnc.org come under sajh.com ?and about location specific sites, who will maintain them? you or representatives from that area..? would love to know more about this...

When things are final gbnc.org will come under sajha.com
I am currently seeking volunteers who would like to be the administrator for thier locations, ie have the ability to set up location specific news/events/photos

Another alternative if to let the public post the news and events as well (as long as they are registered) - currently debating on this option though...

Please feel free to contact me at san1@ix.netcom.com if anyone would liek to volunteer or have any suggestions.

Hi San and others,

I like this idea of sajha.com
The idea of gbnc.org ko kurakani section going global is great.

This means: access to more Nepalis and more friends of Nepal.
More networking, and possibly more interesting kura-kani. Sure, this is going to
be a challenge; then agan, who wants to do ONLY easy work that comes without challenges?

Obviously, this sajha.com needs to be promoted (for you non-corporate types)
and marketed (for you corporate types) and written up about as if it were the Segway "scooter" of the Nepali Internet universe.

Here's a toast to the success of gbnc.org ko kurakani section and to the success of sajha.com ko success.
