Khakurel says "I knew my wife was going to kill me, " thats exact translation of malai mero srimate le marne chhin. Marne chhin is not that strong, as it looks "she will kill me". How do you think of the translated version of "marne" to "kill me"? Thats very interesting reading. ---- Sally should be reading it. I liked her comment on Fukuyama vs Hutington thread. How weak Hindus are ? Will christian or Moslem will adopt others religious festival so easily ? But, as Sally said, Hindus don't compete. Khakurel did not have strong feeling to defend his daughter that we not christian so we don't celebrate x-mas. What Sally wrote was absolutely true, Hindus don't consider others sin just because they have different religion or different practice and how easily they accept others interesting or fun or nice things. Sameer Khakurel was a classmate of mine in St Xavier's many years ago. I was fascinated by this article, and his photograph was truly fun to see. It felt wonderful to read about him all settled with a family and kid in the DC area. Wow. He was 15 years old the last time I remember seeing him. I would have never imagined he would one day live in Herndon, VA with a wife and daughter. Sameer, if you ever read this, congratulations and all the best.

Here is another person we can be proud of. This is outdated, but we can still celebrate. The first time I met Monica, we were battling each other in different teams competing in the GAA - Queen Aishwarya National Spelling Contest. http://cpmcnet.columbia.edu/news/journal/archives/jour_v19no2/monica.html

BP, Those were the days, man -- the Spelling days!! On another note, it's really great to read about MM's success. As for SK, it's great to find out that he seems to have done really well for himself. Remember, all his valiant participations in all those elocution contests? oohi ashu ktm, nepal

Hey Ashu how are you... I was surprise to see me highlighted in this site... How's life. Is BP = Bhupendra Pradhan.... If yes, hey how are you? GP, it is true that Nepalese are very liberal. We easily get tuned to other culture, and not like others. That's why Nepalese are admired in all crowds. Sameer
