Nmaaste and Nin Hao Biswo ji,

I was wondring if you have the contact address of Arnico Samaj (the organization of Chinese university grads) in Kathmandu.

Thank you.

Trailokyaji:

I knew a couple of people there. I also went to one of their parties in Everest
once in the past. I used to have the card of Puran Chaudhari, former president
of Arnico Samaj, but alas, I lost that when I left Auburn some months ago.

I know they have close relationship with Chinese embassy, and work with the
embassy to organize events in Kathmandu. So, you can probably get the address
there. I remember going to a place in Patan Dhoka in 1994, and it was supposed to
be their office. But I can't tell you exactly where they were.

I will try to contact with a few people regarding the address and current leadership
now. But I am pretty sure you will get the address from Chinese Embassy.
Good luck.

arnico samaj... has nothing to do with me... just in case anyone is wondering...
Biswo Posted on 20-Dec-01 12:42 AM

Arnicoji:

I think they write "Arniko Samaj". It happens.

It is sad that Nepal doesn't have any official Roman Script for Nepali Alphabet.

Thank you biswoji for your prompt reply. Getting address from the Chinese Embassy is well, at this time, not a very good idea. But, I'll give it a shot anyway. Its about organizing an event in Kathmandu, hopefully the Chinese Embassy, Arniko Samaj and KFA will co-opearte. Biswoji, I also ned your help re: Chinese movies. If you were to list the best Chinese movies (Other than that of Chen Kai Ge and Zhang Yimou) that you have seen so far, what would they be? Others too, feel free to post your list.

And I'd also like to get in touch with people from KFA (Kathmandu Films Archives). So, if anyone from the KFA is reading this message, please email me at aryal_trai@yahoo.com

(i hope noone is going to hack my account).

Thank you all.
