Shawshank Redemption is my favorite too. A great movie with a powerful illustration of unbendable human spirit, hope.
I think, Andy Dufrane did not get his freedom when he crawled through the sewage pipe of the jail, but he did remain free in the jail all those years. Life is not about achieving or failing to achieve certain goals, it is about how you lived until then. Andy lived free in the jail. His undefeated spirit could not be put in the jail. His mission and his hope kept him free. At the end and until then.
I wonder if today's Nepal is not Shawshank. I wonder if we should not live Andy.
