Nagging---in both of its forms, bitching and moaning can deliver as much incentive to quit dipping as an ice pick to the eye (or more) and for a longer period of time. Nagging, therefore, has the same negative effects on the body as teasing a grizzly bear: increased risk of high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke (from fear of when the bear will go apeshit on you).
Nagging also greatly increases your risk of developing oral cancers and other diseases of the gums and mouth. Most disturbing is the fact that a third of the 12 million Americans who nag are female.
Listed below are common problems associated with nagging:
Tooth Abrasion – Nagging will encourage the naggee to pop you in the mouth, and perhaps use sandpaper on your teeth.
Gum Recession – The sandpaper that causes tooth abrasion will also affect your gums.
Tooth Discoloration and Bad Breath - Common traits of long-term nagging are stained teeth (caused by the bleeding brought about by the sandpaper used above) and bad breath. Moreover, the habit of continually nagging can be both unsightly and offensive.
Nagging Dependence - Nagging can lead to an artificially increased heart rate and blood pressure. In addition, it can constrict the blood vessels that are necessary to carry oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. Athletic performance and endurance levels are decreased by this reaction.
Unhealthly Eating Habits – Nagging lessens a person's sense of taste and ability to tell when they have pissed someone off. As a result, users tend to eat more salty and sweet foods, both of which are harmful if consumed in excess.
Danger Signs - If you use smokeless nagging, or have in the past, you should be on the lookout for some of these early signs of oral cancer:
· An irritated fiance
· A lump from where your fiance pops you
· A prolonged sore throat from constantly whining
· Difficulty in chewing due to sore jaw from fiance popping you
· Restricted movement of the tongue or jaws from getting popped
· A feeling of something around the throat – your fiance's hands
Pain is rarely an early symptom. For this reason, all naggers need regular dental check-ups.
