Microsoft's newest version of Windows, billed as the most secure ever, contains several serious flaws that allow hackers to steal or destroy a victim's data files across the Internet or implant rogue computer software. Yet Another Broken Windows Enjoy.... SM Sainju |

SM, I don't think there is anything "enjoyable" in this news. Every software that is created has bugs in it. That's the part of the process of software development cycle. Bugs are found, fixes and patches are created and they are fixed. I don't know of any software (or OS) that is 100 % full proof and bug free. Do you? Jwahar |

No and not yet there is a bug free OS/SW to the best of my knowledge. Check the Cleanroom approach, though. Pretty good eh? What is funny and ludicrous, however, is that MS claimed XP to be the mother of all OS but again soon became the mother of "Blue screen of Death." Below is the excerpt of the testimony of Matthew J. Szulik President and CEO Red Hat, Inc. to the Judiciary Committee of the United States Senate. Here is a link to the article: Article ----- Microsoft is deeply concerned about open source software and has already making overtures on how it will use dominance rather than technical expertise to crush it. The CEO of the monopolist said, quote, "Linux is a cancer that attaches itself in an intellectual property sense to everything it touches." The head of the monopolist's Windows Platform Group has similar beliefs: He said publicly, quote, "Open source is an intellectual property destroyer. I can't imagine something that could be worse than this for the software business." He goes on further to say, "I'm an American, I believe in the American way. I worry if the government encourages open source, and I don't think we've done enough education of policy-makers to understand the threat." ---- SM Sainju |

I think this recent news about glitch in Windows only reinforcement our case to make things OpenSource. Come on, Microsoft, brag as much you can, there is likely to be some problem in multimillions lines codes. The bragging of infallibility is yet another ludicrous claim. |
