I am a consultant working for the UN Food and Agriculture
Organization, based in Rome on an assignment to expand
their roster of writers, editors and web producers and
designers, desktop publishers and graphic designers and I'm
contacting you to explore whether you could suggest some
names of suitable candidates for the roster and/or whether
you would be willing to forward the following message to
your list.
FAO is looking for people:
a. who are primarily writers, editors, web producers and
designers, desktop publisher and graphic designers for
general audiences
b. with good technical backgrounds in various agriculture
fields, and sustainable development
c. who can interpret scientific language into message lay
people can understand
d. with a good track record
e. who can combine creativity with the realities of working
with a large international organization.
Although at the present time, the majority of the original
material is written in English and then translated, FAO is
particularly interested in expanding the roster for
writers, editors, web producers and designers, desktop
publishers and graphic designers who are working in
Spanish, French, Arabic and Chinese. If you have contacts
with people working in these languages, could you pass this
message on to them also.
