Gajendra Narayan Singh is dead KOL Report KATHMANDU, Jan 23 - President of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, Gajendra Narayan Singh died Wednesday afternoon at a private hospital in Kathmandu after developing heart and respiratory complications. He was 72. According to doctors at Norvic Health Care Centre, Singh succumbed to heart and respiratory problems, which had affected him for many years. Singh had been the president of Nepal Sadbhawana Party since 1991 and was a member of the National assembly, the Upper House of Nepalese parliament. During his political career he championed the cause of the people living in the Terai region. He became the Minister of Supplies from 1995 to 1997 and later took charge of the portfolio of Minister for Local Development in 1997. (rk)
