Sukuti and Chiura, 50 Rupees
Movie and cab, 150 Rupees
Dance Restaurant, 500 Rupees
Total Budget for one day: 740 Rupees which is less than 10 measly dollar
In US:
One plate momo (at that tibetan place), 12 dollars
Sizzling beef in a pan (at that mexican place) 12 dollars
movie and cab 30 dollars
dance club plus 3 drinks: 40 dollars
Total budget for one day: 94 dollars which is a little more than 7000 Rupees

..if you go on your own. Two movie tickets = $16, 2 medium popcorn = $7, 2 medium sodas = $5 (don't know about cabfare since I drive)

most clubs charge a cover fee that can range anywhere from $15 - $50 per person, watered down drinks are usually $4-5 each, plus you’ve got to tip them too (key word here: watered down, meaning you're going to need more than one or two for sure).

look at it this way: for ppl who make their living in nepal the value Rs 740 is more than the value of $40 for ppl who make living here. of course it would be nice if we could earn in US dollars and spend in Nepali Rupee.

No, joie de vivre merely wondering which USofA Voodoo Nut lives in, where he can cab it to a movie and back for $30 and party for $40. Maybe I'm living in the wrong city...
and if I drive and party? more power to me.

We used to simply take a bus.
Entry fee simply 5 bucks.
15 bucks of beers in the club at the most.
3 bucks each. On tue n thu, it was one buck each.
Dance like crazy.
And have total fun.
All for 22 dollars.
So, you drive to a party?
You must be a soda girl then eh joie?

aah!!! nepali ko guff pani atti huncha muji, nepal ma tukucha ma swimming haanne le amrika ma 40 dollar ko drink?? guff-guff-uff uff, muji ashon ko raaya ko saag ramrari pachya chaina muji ghanta jasto sizzling beef??? muji mini-bus ma jhundiyeko jaatha haru, cab ra aafnai car ko guff muji!!! geda chusna lai per day $94++ kharcha garne mula haru ho??

Movie ticket: $1:00 (maitinee show on the cheapest theater in town)
popcorn: $0.50..the one you bought last night at cheap store, and threw it in M.W.*..
take it to the theater, and eat it. remember even our late king PRITHIVI narayan shah did the same thing. (thanks 7 grade nepali class).
