SHOCKING SECRET BEHIND HIS POT-SMOKING SCANDAL

Pot-smoking Prince Harry terrified friends when he got so high that he revealed his secret plan to kill himself - because he's a second-class citizen in the royal family!
That's the shocking nightmare behind the scandal that recently erupted when Prince Charles made Harry visit a rehab clinic to speak with addicts after Charles discovered the young Prince had been smoking pot and drinking.
Sources say Harry threatened suicide just before his 17th birthday last year, after a night of smoking marijuana and swilling strong ale that older friends bought for underage Harry at a pub near his family's Highgrove estate.
Harry brought his friends back to the estate - empty except for servants and bodyguards - and they smoked several joints until Harry was babbling out his darkest thoughts, revealed a source close to one of Harry's pals.
"Harry was both drunk and stoned and he was rambling on jealously about his brother, Prince William.
"He kept saying, 'He's the one they care about. He's the one who'll take over after Dad goes. They'll only have a need for me if both Father and Wills are gone - and you know that isn't going to happen.
" 'But they'll be sorry. I'm going to kill myself. See if they care then. They'll all be feeling guilty - especially after what happened to my mother.
" 'They drove Mom crazy. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. Sometimes I think it would be good to join her.
" 'If they don't think I have the guts to do it they're mistaken. I know where the guns are in this place - and where the ammunition is kept, too. I know how to use them.
" 'It would be a simple matter for me to get a hunting gun and end this misery.'
"Harry's friends were shaken by the tone of his voice and by seeing the tortured look in his eyes as he was talking about this.
"One of them told me, 'It sent chills up and down my spine. I was really scared. He obviously had put a lot of thought into how he would kill himself. He had a plan to do it.'
"The friends stayed with him all night because they were really scared he was going to do something crazy."
The next time the friends saw Harry - after the pot-smoking scandal had broken - he was again in a bitter mood, the source disclosed.
"He was complaining that if it had been Wills who had been caught instead of him, the situation would've been handled differently. He's sure they wouldn't have hung Wills out to dry publicly or made him visit the rehab clinic.
"'I'm really getting sick of being a member of this family,' he said."
A palace source added: "Prince Charles is still very, very worried about Harry."
