Thanks Bswo for mentioning her name in the Most Influental Nepali people. The only creation I have read of hers is "Shirishko Ful" and I was so much enthused by it. Every sentence in that think novel has weight. When asked "Timi pani duetama biswas garchau ra Bari", her reply "Garchu pani gardina pani, biswaas garchu kinavane dhungo na ho tyaslaai jati kura vanepani aanfaisanga raakhidincha, gardina kinavane jatti dhakdhakae pani chahine kura bolididaina" Maybe Biswoji since you are such a fan, please elaborate. I hope other fans could pour in their thoughts and bring back my lost memories. "Silawatko vaye kucchi-sakthyo kaanchle aafno dharma chodena" "U ra ma ek dhuwako fusroko durima thiyau"

I guess that is what I consider my self: semi-atheist. (As I mentioned in one of my previous threads.) I don't pretend to have understood all of Parijat's work. I used to read her article until as late as 50s in Asmita etc. She was a left intellectual, but her message on woman empowerment was clear. I believe she lead a great life despite her adversity, and left behind a lot of things for us to be proud of her.

Paarijat isn't that the woman who wrote "Aadim Desh", what the hell was that about? I didn't understand nothing she wrote there. What about "Maile najanmaaeko choro" wasn't that some kind of Fruedan influence. Maybe because it was to do it with sexuality, I understood this better.
