Please ignore if this is not for you.

I hereby request the tiny minority of sajha.com visitors whose postings are nothing but larded with usual personal attacks against Ashutosh Tiwari to
kindly email all their hate-mails to Mr. Ashu at this address:

ashu_lai_gaali@hotmail.com

Every Saturday morning, I will personally read your emails, and the writer of the most abusive, the most hate-filled and most outrageously false and laughably untrue email of the week will be notified about a gift voucher worth Rs. 1000.

The voucher is transferable to their authorized family members in Nepal, and
can be redeemed at any kirana-pasal in Kupondole or Tripureswor.

Folks, I really enjoy -- as a matter of voluntary public service -- posting news, views, opinions and counter-arguments and so on to keep this site a lively and informative place. Time-permitting, I intend to keep on doing it.

And a few attacks here and there are NOT going to deter me in any way from doing what I love to do here. And so, this email and this voucher idea is my small, public-spirited attempt to keep our beloved and well-liked and increasingly influential sajha.com free of personal attacks against Ashutosh Tiwari.

Thank you.

Thanks Sagun,

I appreciate yout thought.

In this forum, NK once wondered how I could just go on and on here with all the usual assaults coming my way from anonymous corners. Words, she said, hurt her.

Well, words hurt me too.

But over the last few years, I have learnt to be more secure in myself and
have leart to develop this unshakable belief in myself that NOBODY -- I mean, NOBODY -- has my permission to hurt me.

Once I internalized this idea into my system, so to speak, my life became freer, happier and I realized that could do just do my work to the best of my ability without giving a damn as to some anonymous people out there think and say about me.

It took me a while to start seeing attacks in purely complimentary terms: I mean, some people so greatly fear the effects of my writings that they'd do anything to push me off sajha.com . . .

I mean, wink, wink, one can't get more powerful/influer than that, does it? :-)

That said, I am still learning better ways to deal with unjust attacks and malicious criticisms: humor, I have found out, can be a great balm.

hello ashu
ur name is well heard name in Boston and ur achievement is praiseworthy.i m just one of ur, i would well wisher,i have read ur articles they are so interesting and marvelous.me and many others, who encourage person like u to bring thoughts and ideas, always look forward to see more and more in the future. hey let people say whatever they wanna say. one doesn't become great saying so many nonsense stuff in the back, i would rather call them "coward" or P****. so don't waste ur time on those bastards.
Well Wisher Posted on 01-Feb-02 07:06 AM

Are you pre-empting these attacks by posting messages like the one you have just done?
Hmmm Posted on 01-Feb-02 07:56 AM

I think Ashuji is just missing the personal attention--negative as it may be. Life gettin lonely Ashu? You know what they say about kids--praise them or reprimand them, but the worst thing you can do is ignore them--cuz they can't stand it!

And besides, if you really want me to snort the cough from the trenches of my lungs to hurl it at you, you better give me better motivation than a measly $15. C'mon Ashu, stop being so cheap!
Expected a little more creativity for someone who went to Hahvuhd.

Disappointed,

Ashu dai!
Don't play with shits, cuz it might come on your face. Let the shit be where it belongs.
dude Posted on 01-Feb-02 08:33 AM

this is ridiculous. if someone attacks you by personal email why don't you reply to them personally and make fool out of them. no need to bring your personal matters in public forum. i'm not really interested to find out who your enemies are what kind of differences you'll have. but what i'm interested is in thought provoking articles you and many other ppl post in this forum
joie de vivre Posted on 01-Feb-02 08:37 AM

Way to go, Ashu!! I like your give-a-damn attitude though instead of pre-empting attacks like Well Wisher says, I think you’re inviting more trouble. But hey, I’d probably be thumbing my nose at my attackers too, were I in your shoes.

Dariwal,

Remember HUman Anatomy....shits' in you...
Funny Posted on 01-Feb-02 10:03 AM

This is really pathetic. Let me clarify this,I do not know Ashu personally and have nothing against him. But why the hell is he paying so much attention to what others are saying? The very fact that he started this outrageous discussiob ( E-NAMM?????) proves his childish behavior. Ashu, you seem like very active person, someone who enjoys talking and all that. People will always have stuff to say about you, good and bad. I think you should stop paying attention and do what you are doing. But starting this discusion does prove one thing. You are stooping to their level and poking them one more time.
Sotto Voce Posted on 01-Feb-02 10:13 AM

I am a fan of Ashu as well, but he has ADS, no not AIDS, just ADS. Attention Disorder Syndrome.

Have you realized he replies (not just mere Thank Yous but considerable justification) to most people who make GOOD comments on him. I know he deserves it, I mean after all he's done quite a bit compared to a lot of us, but its time for him to realize he don't need to defend to crappy e-mails or remind us how great he is to empower himself.

We know you are great Ashu and I mean it without a hint of sarcasm. I do, I really do.

Just keep up the good work and let the chips fall where they may.

The Same (inspired by Ashu's Ooohi, but Ooohi kinda sound like a Oooo Oooo hee, a little cry)

Sigh! Have I become unwittingly the most quotable person in this forum? But could i say something here, if you allow me to? From what I remember from my fuzzy memory, I said something like, words have power. just as a stone can hurt a person, so does a vile word. otherwise there might not have been such a term as 'verbal assault.'

But go on, carry on this so called 'kurakani.' All the participants have by warm blessings.
Durcheruwa Posted on 01-Feb-02 02:33 PM

Ashu,
You are definately very interesting person. Without your input, into this site, I doubt, this site would have been this much popular. Well more people try to discredit you, hurl dirt on you more you become popular. Your situation very much matches with the Clintons'. Clintons were probed and scandalized to the point they were almost immunized to any allegation. Same thing here. Vile personal attack on you is actaully helping you out. It's your antidote. Nobody will believe if even they tell the truth which are negative to you.
Btw, Rs.1000 award is tempting. I am thinking creatively: what gali and personal attacks will make you grit with anger, what infuriate you so much you won't even hesitate to smash your computer. Any hint?

Why does ppl have trouble with Mr. Ashu? I mean he went to Harvard, yes he did. Shouldn't he be proud of that? I would be. It takes a lot of courage and self confidence to resist bullets of vile attacks that he gets from ppl. He might have done some wrong-doings or said something hars to you people. For christ sake, can't you forgive him. Just forgive him. Forgive him and let him live his life.
Koko Posted on 02-Feb-02 10:41 AM

We all are ready to bury the hachet if he is. But it seems as if he does not want to. This thread he started clearly indicates that. If you knew him you would understand. He's a smart man with an ego the size of this universe. So to feed that big appetite of ego he has to go through this process. Otherwise he feels very insecure.
