any pats fans out there. put ur thoughts on PATS big SUPERBOWLxxxvi victory. by the way this should be a big slap for raider nations and those who thought this PATS rally was cinderella story.GO PATS............

Well, the Pats certainly were a Cinderella story, all the way through the big dance! How fitting that in this year of national tragedy, the "patriots" win the superbowl! Way to go New England. Only thing that could have made me happier is if it were the Washington Redskins.

I don't know about other parts of Boston, but Harvard Square was a parking lot after the game. There were about 200 people running around and jumping into traffic. Guys and girls were thumping cars, shaking them, licking windshields, jumping on their roofs. And in that bitter cold, a few of them stripped down to their shorts. There were cars leaving the Square with dents all over their roof. The cops finally came and had to stop all traffic going into Harvard Square.
I was just standing their laughing my head off with a camera in my hands. I'm hoarse today.

What a game! What a team! What a city!!! PATRIOTS!! BOSTONNNNNN!!!! Wooooohooooo!!!

Is doing sommersaults and cartwheels at work grounds for getting fired?
joie de vivre Posted on 04-Feb-02 08:47 AM

oh puh-leez!! I wouldn't care less who won or lost!! However, I wouldn't want you to be written up for doing cartwheels at work. Who says I don't care??
Sangey Posted on 04-Feb-02 11:34 AM

OH YEAH... BABY. GO PATS!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!

14 points underdog. Youngest starting QB. Second lowest payroll in NFL. Never won SuperBowl before. A team that nobody believed in.

And there you have it.

I myself am Dallas Cowboys fan... yeah yeah I know they SUCK... but I sure was happy to see Boston's team win the big one this time.

I wish I could've been at Harvard Square or Quincy Market last night.

Best ranked defence for the AFC Championship and best ranked offense for the Super Bowl... How 'bout that! And how we made the Rams and Steelers look stupid. What were Bettis's number in last game and what was Faulk's number yesterday?

Starting with the choosing to be introduced as a team to that game winning drive... what a show. Imagine if only that fumble wasn't called back for holding (I thought you could do that within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, but we'll give the benefit of doubt to the pathetic Rams). But weren't some other team supposed to be the greatest show on earth? If only crybaby was a genre.

And Kordell Stewart can gripe about how "sometimes the best team loses" and Faulk can discredit the Pats effort by saying how "Rams is the only team that can defeat Rams" and how they did that last night, who's holding the trophy now?

Enjoy the victory parade tomorrow, and maybe it'll be televised live in St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Oakland too. :-)
