Maoist rebels have killed 16 policemen in Nepal, in the deadliest attack since a state of emergency last November.
The rebels' overnight raid destroyed a police post in the Kavrepalanchok district in the north of the country.

At least six rebels are also believed to have died in the gunbattle, which lasted two hours.

The attack comes ahead of a crucial session of parliament next week, when MPs are due to discuss whether to extend the state of emergency.

It was imposed after the rebels broke a truce and staged several bloody attacks on police posts as part of their armed struggle to replace the constitutional monarchy with a communist republic.

A two-thirds majority in parliament is needed to extend the state of emergency for another three months.

This killing spree has certainly created a few facets in
Nepali politics:

1. Nepal will have arm struggle for long time.
2. Maoist will control far western part, far east northern
part of Nepal. Army will be holding central core part.
3. Army will keep on killing all those who are labeled as
Maoists or who posses communist agenda.
4. The Maoist leaders will enjoy Bharat Prabash, enjoying
the money acquised from Bank "robberies" and "Hafta"
from Nepali Biz. peoples.
5. This fight will reduce the problem of employment to
lower class peoples:
a. more peoples will get army job.
b. those who can not get jobs in Army and Police
will join Maoists. Thus both of them will fight each
other and a "BEST" plan to engage unemployed people.
How can you view its +ve side other than such interpretation.
c. Those who could not join Army nor Maoists will leave
village and go to India for a "better job".
d. In cities, the rich will send their kids abroad, and it will
also reduce the employment problem.
e. Since we don't have our own resources to build
or construct some infrastructures, as all most all major
infra. were built under loan, and after fall of soviet sangha
No one else Japan is interested in funding in REAL big
projects, so, government will be relieved of the pressure
of developing undeveloped areas like western Nepal.
f. Because of underdevelopment, insecurity, the rich from
village will keep on moving in KTM, and the land in KTM
will be sky racketing, thus, the rich in KTM will get
more rich and KTM will start developing towards sky
i.e. getting closer to Moon, competing with NASA.

6. Govinde (who used to have same polyster ko pants for
year, now rides Maruti Gypsy.... RV), Khume: whose money
is said to be ceased in New Zealand recenly, just after depositing
it in a NewZealand Bank. (TKP did not give name, but, hinted it
at a time, when Khume was in New Zealand trip). They will
one day legalize the money they accumulated as Ministers.

7. We poor guys here in this Sajha.com will be constantly
wachting the same faded thread "XX number of Maoists killed"
and "xx number of Police/Army were killed". Maoist supporters
will enjoy reading the first kind of news and middle class peoples
who have nothing to do with MAoists and govt, will be disappointed
with both news, "why are we killing each other", and while the
extreme supporters of govt. will love to hear more news on 2nd type.

8. Sher B. Deoba seems to passing through hard time as the
Session is heading ahead. The 16police death has paved a
red carpet for him to get approval from the session that
the emergency be continued. Its justified on his behalf.
Well, the opposition will crawl in public that they do not see
any thing worth with emergency, but, in the closed door
session in parliament, they will keep on giving OK sign to
Sher B. Deoba, because we all know the back yard games
on poor peoples' politics.

9. Maoists seems to now under NO ONE's control, because
the leadership in Maoist is so much divided (Ram B. Thapa
vs Prachanda as was visible in Nov.) and such division will
continue to appear or propogate further as long as emergeny
continues. Its Nepali communists who partition each other
for major share in the power pie. Only yesterday, I was
reading a news on "13communist parties gathering ".
One day, if emergency is eased after peoples get used to
with such killing news, then, I am afraid the groups within
Maoist Party will kill each other for the leadership. That will
not be important we poor peoples who has nothing to do
with their internal fights.
Finally, No one can bring them in Table talk, even if some
come but, it will not get success as it happend in November,
when they divided into two groups.

10. well, one set of people will die, and ther death will
not create global draught of mankind, as long as our
Neighbours produce large number of babies every year,
and if we nepalis are drained out of Nepal because of this
ongoing problem, the Indians will love to invade Nepal
and make Nepal a part of India. Indian Politicians are
playing dual role, as Sri Lankan said in recent SAARC
that some countries harbor terrorims against others
while crawling the terrorism harbored by their neighbor.

Conclusion of !"#$%&'()=~? Get Mad. Thats best solution
out of this problem.
