We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate SM Sainju ji for his new job as an Executive Director of an arlington, VA based large co BMT Designers and Planners. It is a pride not only for you sainju ji but also for the entire nepali for what you have achieved. We wish you the very very best in your career and life.

We have known sainju ji for many years. He is a 31 year old young man with expertise in computer science. He is a man with dreams and his can do attitude speaks for itself. He is very vocal and persistent and yet charismatic individual. He is a determined young man with many talents. He comes from a very poor family in Nepal and has worked his way up and will not be denied to reach the top. We will not be surprised to see him become a CEO of a fortune 500 company one day. He is a natural born leader with broader vision in life. He has made tremendous contribution to Nepali and Nepal which he rarely talks about. I am very thankful to him for his dedication to defend our Sherpa community when some group of people try to tarnish the reputation of our sherpa climbers after what happened in 1995-1996 expedition of Everest lead by Rob Hull and Scott Fisher (Into the thin air).

He is very kind hearted individual and does whatever it takes to help nepalese. There is not a day that I have seen this young man not smiling. This is a great success story and we wish him the very best in his new job.

Please join me to congratulate him for his career and success in his life.

and the family.

Congratulations !!!

Well, it is an inpiring letter to all the Nepalese, who are attempting to do better in their life living in this vast competetive society. It would be great to know that what back ground Mr. SM Saiju had, while he was in Nepal.

Shambhuji,
I already congratulated you on NYO election day at GMU personally and would like to join with others here to congratulate you again.

For others,
I would like to add that he is also a good entertainer. He plays Basuri/Murali very well as well as does not hesitate to grab a Madal, start singing Nepali folk songs and ask others to sing along with him.

Hope you will still have time to entertain us.

I had a very brief conversation and exchange of few smiles with SM Sainju, but I was instantly impressed by his simplicity, humility and, to my surprise, by his talent in music too. Yes, he plays flute. I learned more about him from his postings at this forum. He is certainly more mature than his age. He is not only a ‘chillo paat’ but already a ‘faleko brixyako hango’. He is certainly our pride.

I join friends of Mr. Sainju and whole Nepali community to congratulate him. Be our role model.

Congratulation to Saijuji. I am wondering if he is same as gbnc's regular
contributor SMSaiju. In any case, his achievement and demeanour sounds so
impressive.

Dear Friends,

Thank you very much for wishing me a good one. And I appreciate it. One thing I have learned thru out my career, may it be short, is that you have to be agressive to stay ahead of the ball game. It is a tough world and nothing comes to your way easily. It was tought in my part even more so because of many things such as finance, proper guidance and etc. I very much created my own way though much of the credit goes to my parents who have just learned how to write/read their names.

I never considered myself poor. I enjoyed every bit of my childhood as much as I do my life now. I tried to make the best out of whatever I had at that moment and it worked for me but I never gave up. Like everyone else, I too have dreams. Some one once said, "Having dreams is what makes life tolerable."

I promise that I would make every effort to help serve my country and the fellow nepalese to the best of my ability. Thank you once again for all your care.

Sincerely,

SMSainju

I am happy for you and I am certain that this is just a beginning. I am also positive that you will support good causes in Nepal and be a big part in the attempt to transform our society of its ills.

Congratulations to you Sainju Sir!!

I am your student from Bal Udyan School in Kalikasthan. Do you still remember us?
Bhuwan dai, soni didi and all others still talk about you. We missed your presence and your spirit after you left Bal Udyan. Thank you very much for everything.

Couple months ago, when my friend first told me about Suddha Shah's accomplishment( which was featured in Business Week), first time I had hard time believing she is from Nepal. I instantaneously dismissed thinking she must be from India. Later on I read the article and found out she was indeed from Nepal. I was happy to know she is from Nepal. I was happy to know Nepali could also become successful here in US. I mean successful not in terms of having expensive car or house with swiming pool ! Sucess I mean in terms of attaining prominence in his/her field. Success story of Samrat Upadhya's book is also gratifying. And now, when I heard you -SMSainju is on your way to become CEO of one of the Fortune 500 Company, it just gives me sheer delight. We need to have more people like you. We need to know your story and your struggle. Your story will definately be inspiring and it will, I think, definately rattle us to do and go beyond our mediocre achievement. Congratulation SMSainju- you made me happy!
