Hi

Can someone please post a message here stating if a Police Celarance Letter from Nepal Police is required for Nepalese citizens wishing to migrate to Canada. Or is it that Immigration Canada will contact Nepal Police directly and make the necessary inquiries.

Thanks

Canadian Immigration Instruction booklet lists the countries for which they (Canadian authorities) will get the police records. Nepal is included in the list.

Hey! did you check the new Immigration law and
criteria, for those who wish to apply after Dec. 17th, 2001.
Its pretty tough to get score 80. A friend of mine who
applied from Nepal recently said, its really getting tougher.
(http://www.cic.gc.ca/). Check out new rule. Meanwhile,
if you are staying outside Nepal more than 10years you
don't need police report from Nepal. A friend of mine
from Bangladesh said that if you send your application
to Buffalo,NY, and if you attach your current place's
police report, you may be waived of Police report from
Nepal, as they do not trust the South Asian Countries'
Polices, because you can get all kinds of reports from
these Police Departments. So, Canadian Embassy
handle all those issues by themselves. If you are
applying in HongKong or in India, its worst combination
and you will be able to migrate only around 3years later.
It applies to Canadian Emb. in Philipine too. Some peoples
said that the peoples in Canadian Embassy, in Manila,
do not return your Landing fees if your visa applicatioin
got denied (its rumor here).
