Hi,
My name is Vani Thilagar. This is about a Nepali family which needs help and I'm not part of that family. I just live close to them.
I've come to know of a Nepali family from Kathmandu
that lives in Nashua NH. They're immigrants who moved
into this country in November 1999.Both the husband
and wife used to work in Nepali banks as accounts
officers for more than a decade. Besides the husband
and wife in their forties, there are 2 young children
in this family.
Unfortunately the husband was stricken with a severe
form of cancer shortly after they moved to this
country. So he is unable to work fulltime. His wife
has also started to work parttime at a hourly job that
pays close to minimum wage. The couple have used up
most of their savings and are now applying for
welfare. They are in need of financial, emotional
support and I feel as an organization you can help
them better than any of us individuals.
