This is a copy of an email i recieved from NepaliTimes : santoshji, we have covered the corruption at immigration at tia quite a bit, but i think it should go into himal magazine in nepali for more impact. could you forward the letters to rajendra dahal and we'll see where we can take it from there with an investigative report, maybe even a "sting operation". kunda dixit This is a forwarded message From: Santosh Neupane To: editors@nepalitimes.com Date: Friday, February 08, 2002, 7:48:14 AM Subject: TI corruption ===8<==============Original message text=============== Hi! I'm a nepalese student in US and i've been watching these news about the corruption in Tribhuvan Internation Airport.(http://gbnc.org/sajha/html/openThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=3307). I really appreciate printing the letters section in Nepalitimes. Is it possible forward these comments to the Responsible Gov. Official in Nepal or maybe to the hotline of P.M by Nepalitimes. Because i think they would consider it more if they get these from a recognized paper as Nepalitimes. If it is possible than we could put out the words on public thru various website and encourage them to write to Nepalitimes. Thank you for your time and consideration. Santosh Neupane ===8<===========End of original message text=========== -- Best regards, nteditors mailto:nteditors@himalmedia.com Kunda Dixit kunda@nepalitimes.com GPO Box 7251 Kathmandu Nepal Tel: 977-1-543 333, fax: 977-1-521 013 So, guys lets try to get the real information in Himal Magazine. But, i think in order to print our experience in Himal, the originator should have a real event not halla. What do you all think? It's a good chance to take our ugly experience in TIA and get it to the peoples in Nepal. San dai, like many others have suggested, maybe we can create a space where the real (registered) people can put these letters in here which could be forwarded to Himal Magazine.

How are you going to verify a person is real? Thats my question. There can be only one way, that is GBNC Members (because Sajha.com a proxy of GBNC.org) can recommend or introduce some members they know. The person should take responsibility for athentic, it should not be like the Medical Association of Nepal, where the St. X graduated guy got Membership of Nepal Medical Association and was taking Video Camera while doing operation and finally, killed the person who has just a small injury. I mean how a negligent authority can lead to great disaster. So, there should be atleast two person for recommendations to be listed in registered members list, to be eligible to post things inside the authentic members list. If the recommended persons were found later fake, then, the guys recommending such persons should be kicked out of this forum permanently, and there should be a list letting peoples know that they guy who recommended is not eligible for any recommendations in future. Turn him a garbage in this site. No apology no thing, accepted in such scams. After all, we are talking about making Nepal clean, and probably, Sajha.com should first be clean from such peoples. I am sure we will have hard time at the beginning. Because how many in this Sajha.com know me personally, but, I am sure if the chain starts from GBNC.org's current and past members, then, I will be there in the forum in the final pyramid, i.e. 2 x2x2x2x2x2x2xx2x2... chain if the chain (without any overlapping) propogates for 32times i.e. 32 bit, our authenticated members list will be about 32 x 0.29 nearly 1 billion. I am sure, I will not need to wait so far. Let this chain be the main criteria for authentication. If you want, I can help you regarding the authentication of members now living in Japan, at least you have www.NESAJ.org, where most of the members name is listed and you can use those email to get final authentication and also Telephone calls + personal relations. Let members applying for registration as authenticated members send their referees, and Sajha.com has one board that sends recommendation from the referees and finally, aprove based on those referees, who are already authenticated members of the forum. santosh, there is already a usergroup called Corruption, which can be only viewed by registered users. Maybe this is a good place to start.

Col. Damage, why was my posting so hillarious? Honestly, I could not understand. Is because I am asking for strict authentic? As you know the Yahoo or Hotmail are just useless if you want to call it a authentic email. Best is to get the personal recommendations and that be used only in sections where everyone is authentic, and real. Me too. Your XP OpinionLeader

OL wrote" "it should not be like the Medical Association of Nepal, where the St. X graduated guy got Membership of Nepal Medical Association and was taking Video Camera while doing operation and finally, killed the person who has just a small injury." Come on, OL. That doctor was a quack, a fake one. He was never a St. X graduate. Talking about corruption is admirable. But let's not corrupt facts in the process. oohi ashu ktm, nepal

I supported creation of "personal testimonies" page. Maybe usergroup would be ok. I have never used it. But the testimonies should be visible to everyone. I also recommend that we attempt to have snap shots of these corrupt offcials, whenever it is possible. As Ashu suggested, sting operations are a good way to move forward on this.
