Ritik Roshan, the one-hit Indian film star, has said that he has never said anything against Nepal and Nepalis anywhere. Evidence so far points out that Roshan has not said anything against Nepal. But, hey, who's collecting evidence in Nepal? Now, Suppose, suppose and suppose: Roshan had INDEED said bad things against Nepal. Then imagine, how easy it is for Nepalis in Nepal to fight with one another destroy one another totally. That is to say, if one Indian actor's comments against Nepal can incite three-day ko violence, acts of killings, destruction and vandalism in Nepal, then all our chimeki rastra -- assuming it wants the worst in Nepal -- has to do is line up 120 actors/actresses and have each of them say -- paa.lai pee.low -- bad things against Nepal and Nepalis every fourth day. We in Nepal -- who are, in Kabi Bhupi's words "bir therefore buddhoo, and buddhoo therefore bir" -- will then end up killing one another, fighting with one another, and basically destroy one another to finish. For India, what could be a more sure-fire way to watch tiny Nepal self-destruct itself? More later, yours in sadness, ashu Looking at acts of killings, destruction and vandalism in Kathmandu yesterday (

May be we are too gullible. Nationalism seems to be our underbelly and jingoism seems to be our reaction. India is damn against our interest. In our every predicament,it will seek way to get benefit for itself.I have no doubt that this protest is not against the actor only.It is wrath against all what India has represented itself to Nepal. But what we have done in the name of protest? Beating innocent Indians walking in the road? Burning down Uddhab Paudel's cinema hall? What these protesters have to do against these civilian Indians? This is not civil way to protest. This is not even a protest, this is probably just a mobbing,a lunatic rage. It also proves that we are witnessing the lack of governance. Our government is not capable of controlling mob. (By the way, Indian businessmen can now pay Comrade Prachanda some million rupees and ask him for appealing for calm, I am sure it will work.) If there is any good thing this episode shows , then it is this: India and those colonialists living in South Block and Janapath Road, they should forget any of their expansionist dream. That is not going to be productive.Somebody tell that to BBC too, btw.
