I can immediately think of two famous persons from Dhankuta. 1. Ashesh Malla 2. Tulsi Diwas (If i have to explain who they are, then they are not famous) Thanks

Dear 13-thum, You wrote: (If i have to explain who they are, then they are not famous) . If I have to hire you in my biz. house of 21st century, as a management staff, then, I will immediately fire you after I reading your comments, on my company products, when some customers who don't know the product, and your answers are so agressive, rather than kind reply to the customer. Because, your comment will surely hurt the existing customers who know that my product is of quality and .... In this free world with free competition, customers have to be respected, no biz. house is above their customers at least in my understanding, so you have no way to hurt them. Answer should be positive, and optimistic. But, you could surely be a good manager if you were to get job of management in early 20th century. In those days, the biz. house at least in Nepal used to "Tapai lai kinna man nalage janus arko customer auchha", but, today's biz. is opposite, "We will be happy to explain you why our product is better than others in the market. Please, share some time with us.". I will be looking for such managers. Well, let me know your version, if you were to join my biz. house, and by reading the above lines, you will decline joing my biz. house? Let me see your clarification where was I wrong. I read somewhere that when Churchill was told by a lady "if I were your wife, I would have poisned your Coffee" and Churchill replied, "If I were your husband, I would have drunk your coffee." I want my manager to consume the poisned coffee (=I don't who is Ashish Mall or ...the next fellow) if it comes from the customers. For me you should be able to offer them flower, so that others feel that you are good managers, your products are trustable. I will be waiting the rude customer come back next time tell that / feel that he was wrong. Big Or option to you leave the company. I have never gone east of Hetauda in Nepal, I don't know the peoples in East, so I am surely interested to know why they are famous. Your XP HahooGuru Do You Hahoo? Join Sajha.com

Hahooguruji: Ashesh Malla nd Tulsi Diwas are both hold good respect in Nepali literature. Specially when it comes to the Sadak Natak, I remember Ashesh Malla like he is the pioneer. High Dhankute: Late. Captain Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Surya Bahadur Thapa, Ramak Chemjong, Gopal Guragain etc. are few names I remember as well known Dhankute people. I don't know much from the city area. Gandhi

Gandhi ji, Did you mean to suggest RAKAM Chemjong's name? I don't know who this famous Ramak Chemjong is. :-) I am familiar with Gopal Guragain's name, though. It was him who showed Surya Bahadur the closed door of the parliament right after so called restoration of democracy. However, I am not quite sure if he is still a big shot. I am also aware with the positions Tulasi Diwas and Ashes Malla have secured in literature and in Drama respectively. I think Gyanendra Bahadur Karki is also from Dhankuta. Don't know, though, how clean he was in his political/diplomatic life. HahooGuru aka Opinion Leader, I agree with a fact stated by 13-thum. If I don't know who Tulsi Diwas is then Tulsi Diwas is not a famous guy for me.

Haho Ji, I couldn’t agree more with you on the importance of marketing, advertise, publicity and packaging. I would immediately fire any employee of my company who answers like that to an enquiry of some customer about the product. However, I was not trying to do marketing (sel)l my Dhankuteli product here. Note that I was saying two “FAMOUS” persons from Dhankuta, and famous means “WELL KNOWN”. So if I have to explain who they are, then they are not well known and are not famous. I was simply stating this fact. Apparently, I have to withdraw my choice of famous persons from Dhankuta as they are not known even to a very informed person like you. I have not dared to specify any famous persons from Tehrathum. There are plenty of successful persons in their own respective area from Tehrathum but none of them have been able to make a national identity yet. Thanks

Sparsha ji writes: I agree with a fact stated by 13-thum. Well, if some of them are famous in their respective field too,I might be quite away from their profession, so, if I am reading who are the famous Dhankuta Bashis, then, I will not be satisfied with the answer that "If I have to explain, then, these are not famous". I guess the thread is also meant to non-Dhankuta Bashis. Don't take other way round. I understand if were Dhankuta Bashi, I might not be asking who they are and why are they famous. Well, in Pokhara too, there are many new peoples who are famous, and I don't all of them, and I will surely not expect such answers from the posters. Recently I heard there are many rock bands originated from Pokhara, and I missed them, should I say they are not famous, instead of that should not I need to know why are they famous? And, I am a customer in this thread, because I am spending my time to read to know the famous Dhankuta Bashiese.
