Now that Maoist have killed 156 in one night, what's next?

Where is Army's explanation? Where is government's explanation?

Are we suppose to feel better with the new "strategy" of the government?

Ke ta aba? Ke?

I am so much frustrated disillusioned to see that Nepalis are killing Nepalis. I hear various cries from different groups. Some say that the government should never have declared an emergency. But guys ... the Maoists started killing people -- innocent people -- but then the harliners retort (as if it really makes a difference) ... tapai lai thaha nai chaina ... government le jhan dherry manche mareko cha ... this sound so ironic ... the Revolution by murder of innocent and the only justification is: " so is the government... they are also killing a lot of people."

I am so sad to hear all these arguments. I don't know much about Nepali politics and such but the more I learn the less I understand. As I remember, yes the royal family can not be considered for saint hood. I know it is hard to justify that the poorest contry in the world has one of the richest royalty in the world. But as I remember, Nepal was lot safer 12 years ago than it is now.

Now... now... don't jump on me and start calling me a Monarchist. I am not really. But I am trying to understand why is what hapenning in Nepal is happening. Don't tell me it's People's war ... that's a bunch of horse feathers ... you don't kill people in people's war.

May be I am too idealistic. I used to think that Nepal, although not an Utopia, was very close to it. We used to be know around the world as the country of people that loved to smile. Recently, I have seen more tears and sadness in people's eyes than smile. It is very sad.

I know we, those of us that live in NZ, Australia, US, Canada, and other western countries, can not affect change in Nepal but is there any way we can help?
