Non-Nepalis suspected of involved in Achham attack KOL Report KATHMANDU, Feb 22 - A policeman who survived the devastating Maoist attack on Accham district headquarter Mangalsen has said some of the persons using sophisticated weapons were non-Nepalis. The Kantipur Daily quoted an unnamed policeman as saying he had seen these people, numbering about 5-6 during attack on Mangelsen on Sunday. He said they had big heads and spoke in a different language. "They were carrying SLR, LMG and Machine guns and fired on army helicopter that came for support early Sunday morning." He added " Their appearance was clearly different than thousands of Nepalis who were involved in the attack." The policeman also said the police had suffered heavy casualties because they thought the Maoist attackers were soldiers because they were wearing similar camouflage uniforms. (rk)
