KATHMANDU, Feb 22 - Five civilians have been burnt alive after Maoist terrorists attacked a passenger bus with petrol bomb in Chitwan district early Friday morning.
Police said the bus, on its way to Birgunj from Kathmandu, was stopped by a group of Maoists at Bhandara Ward No. 2 and then attacked with two petrol bombs. Five people, all civilians, were burnt alive. The dead included a child and four men.
Police said they had been unable to identify the victims because they had been burnt beyond recognition.
Four others sustained serious burn injuries and are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. (rk)
