How far is Kathmandu safe? Skilled and armed Nepalese Army has recently get to perform their highly regarded skill to save lives in Nepal with along second ratification of state of emergency. However, make no mistake those Maoists are not weak as we thought. They are carrying out successful killings abound the country. We all know what cruelty they have done since seven years. Few parts of Nepal still highly fearful and unsecured of lives. Regardless those Jillas, it is time to think about the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. How far is it safe? Let me give some clues that may help us to discuss on it. First, Nepalese Army has their mastery into Kathmandu. They have their strong holds with large and sophisticated weapons in each four corner of the Kathmandu. That tells us that strategically Nepalese Army has commanding or controls in the Kathmandu City. Second, Nepalese police force is still able to regulate law and order at some extent in Kathmandu. Third and major force, people of Kathmandu are not desperate to be against of Democracy. Their integrity in favor of Democracy and national prosperity, and negation to terror may remain the city safe along. But, I am afraid of Bhaktapur and Kirtipur. Purna C. Maharjan
