The legion of killers unleashed their wrath in the full capacity, when people transformed into blood-thirsty creatures in Gujarat last week. In the most eggregious tit-for-tat killing, people were divided into two catagories, and killed ruthlessly, lynched and burned alive ,reminding the carnage of 1947 in subcontinent. I don't believe in god. But even then, I don't think any religion really preaches eternal hatred. Granted, from Billy Graham to Khameni, the leaders of religion spout hatred in their preaching. Worst, in every religion, like in political parties, extremists are in command. Their hortatory speeches egg on audiences to deviate farther from reconcilation with other faiths. God, you really need to save me and a lot of your other creatures from your followers. I talked to a lot of Indian students here. They are sad. But some were enraged:

"What should we Hindus do when they killed our men/women/children in the train, Sabarmati Express?" Indian government , I think, didn't act immediately. They should have rounded up the criminals immediately. By letting the fanatics scour the city of Ahmadabad in their frantic search of Moslems, and thus by allowing them to kill people (including a child 20 days old) government of Gujarat (or India) let itself go down in the history as an accomplice to this horrendous crime. Indications are rife that such situations won't happen in Nepal. But again, who thought Maoists would create such a havoc in Nepal ten years ago? We need to be vigilant against every eventuality. Racial slurs against any race is venomous. It poisons society and allows exremists to rule. It engenders mass hysteria against rationale. It degenerates human to something else.We can't afford to raise our \ kids in the poison of hatred. Pokhareli people last week made all of us proud: they feted old folk-song collector and poet Ali Miya with enthusiasm. (Of course, I know, he wasn't feted because he was from minority!) Those societies which fail to take care of minorities and weak section of community will fail eventually, we know. Let our gentle hand caress the feeble, hungry and unfortunate ones in Nepal!

Yes, it's indeed sad to hear about all those evils going on around the world and most sad is the present situation in our own country. In midst of all these people often wonder about the existence of God. And it seems like there is no God and people question where is God when all these are happening. Yes these are valid questions but I have gone through such an experience that I cannot deny God and that God to me is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ opened my eyes that were blind all these years. Jesus Christ came to earth in human form and died on the cross for "the sinner" like me. It's hard for anyone to comprehend what I am trying to say about Christ and thats not unusual cause I was the same way before until God finally grabbed me by my neck and showed me the right way. I cannot change anybody's mind but only with God it's possible. He will draw His children towards Himself. Jesus loves you all!!!
