Do I hear a pin drop silence? Are you waiting breathless???

My dear, I did, indeed read his reply. Last night.

Remember, I don't profess to have the answer, but I do refute unequivocally any justification for any kind of Maoist revolution, maiost propaganda, or Maiostic penchant for wiping out the culutre, heritage, intelligentsia- really anything that does not fulfill their bloodthirsty power march- i am against it all.

My answer was kind of 1st part to tell Raider Nation and his followers (there were pleny, werenot there?)why they ought to be ashamed for calling themeselves Maoist and following Mao's Red book. Do you hear anybody calling themselves - straight face- i am a Hitler supporter and we should have another revolution following Nazi doctrine? Why? Why do you think you dont' hear that kind of banal declaration. Read (inclusding 'nemesis' posting) why communist insurgency/revolution and Hitler's war on humanity are of the same kind. They both kill/killed millions of people not for what they believe in but based solely on who they are/were. Be ware, as they say, what you wish for for you might get it. So, after knowing who these maoists are and what they stand for ( i know i know they say they want the best for the countr) to do do you still want them?

Tell Raider Nation to refrain from catchy slogans, i.e. bhoko pet etc., as the maoists are famous for and stick to the substance. And yes, i will answer his if there is anything to answer for, in that particular thread. Maybe tonight.

And if you want to know what to do take our country to the "21st century" Arnico might be the best person to answer that question. And, just a tiny reminder. WE ARE in the 21st century. It is the only Roman Calendar who refuses to believe that. And if you go by Hebrew calendar then they are I think somewhere in 51st century. Be specific what do you mean by this "21st century." Internet access? Cybersex? clean water? ek jor luga? what?

But, I thank you for showing interest in the thread which clearly is the most relevant (to me at least) regarding Nepal's present condition.

Please read, "they killed million people for not what they did but for who they were."
Kurai Kura Posted on 04-Mar-02 12:48 PM

Some of us seem to be misguided and misfired by the Maoist mystique. Those who have defended the Maoists so fanatically with emotional garbage, not reason, should answer these basic questions before they willfully taint their hands in the blood of thousands of innocent, poor, bhoko pet and nango chhati Nepalis (indeed, the so called revolutinoaries have only killed and maimed the villagers, they do not touch the corrupt and the reactionaries in Kathmandu with women they collect their dirty money as donation and sit down for peace talks...see the hypocrisy?) the terrorists have killed in the most gruesome manner that puts the Pot Pot killers to shame. These questions could be put as:
1) Apart from the violence and destruction, what creative programs, visions, and ideas do the Maoists and their pitiful apologists have for the future of Nepal? Let us for a second assume that the Maoists come to power through the violent means.. what do they propose to do next that will take the country on a better path than it is? Is a Maoist dictatorship of the proletariat the answer at this moment?
2) The Maoists and their apologists say that the people's war and all the violence and everything the rebels do is justified by the corruption, bad governance, neopotism of the political parties. If that is indeed the reason for the violence, why don't they target these corrupt politicians in Kathmandu and keep on killing the poor and the defenseless in the rural areas? If they can finish off a district headquarter and army barracks in a night, they have the capacity to finish off the corrupt leaders they keep shouting about. If your war is on such corruption, kill the corrupt, don't put the victims of that corruption to more suffering!
3) If the Maoists are really for the bhoko pet and nango chhati, what justifies the destruction of telecommunication facilities, civil aviation infrastructure, hydro-power projects and civil administration facilities and banks? These are purely non-military targets, and the country's development and services to the poor and rich alike depends on it. Who benefits by blowing it up? Is it the Maoist idea to take the country back to the stone age barbarism?
4) The recent news reports that Maoist connection with India, getting weapons and men from India to fight Nepal, is worrisome. That is how India started the Tamil problem in Sri Lanka... and something similar happened in Sikkim before New Delhi occupied Sikkim. The Maoists have not clarified their covert/overt relation with India...Is it going to another proxy force deployed to undermine Nepal's integrity?
5) In the so called 21st century, human rights, press freedome and democratic government have become global values. How will the Maoist supporters defend Mao's idea of one party state, no elections and bullets and prisions for anyone who holds a different opinion to them. There will be no press freedom either in a Maoist state...only red book and party newspaper.
Should we still defend the Maoists like brainwashed puppets or think of creative, non violent, democratic alternative to the problem we all see in Nepal?

Jai Nepal

I don't understand this whole mao movement ?
Mao is dead... Look at China...They are moving forward to a capitalism.
Look at anywhere in the world... Do you see any of those Commies still in existance except for Nkorea and Cuba ? Why are these stupid people hell bent on bringing in a political system that is DOA. I am still to this veryday trying to understand this. Are these Mao's that gullible ? I am still trying to figure this out(some one help fill in the blanks here).

In this age of free market, NEPAL(OR MAO"S) wants to close its borders ??
I am definatly missing something here. I know of poverty and despair, but that should not give the oppertunists to make the irrational choice of their DOA party.

But from the democratic point of veiw people have the right to do whatever its their choice. But I just do not understand their reasoning. We all know what happens when we enforce laws without reasoning......it wont last(look in the history of any civilization).

Dear RaiderNation and other sympathizers, please spread this song among your comrades. It fully encapsulates our mutual philosophy.

##

The Supreme Leader’s Rap
(from the Little Red Song Book)

Hey hey ho ho
Democracy has got to go
That’s how we’ll make the people free
In the 21st century

Corruption is bad, that’s why we kill
The bodies pile up on every hill
The ends will justify our means
Someday we’ll live our utopian dreams

We’ll live in a land of justice for all
On a pile of skulls we’ll build a new Nepal
And the lives of the poor will be so much greater
Because I have a plan (that I’ll talk about later)

Because I have a plan (that will bear no contradiction)
You’d better not suspect that it’s all a fiction
You’d better not accuse me of ignoring human rights
Or terrorizing people to improve their plights

I will rule with an iron fist
But democracy will not be missed
Because I will be a People’s Dictator
And what does that mean? Well, I’ll tell you later.

It doesn’t matter that a killer’s what I am
It’s justified ‘cause democracy’s a sham
Don’t children die of hunger every day?
So a million murders more, what the hey?

Hey Hey Ho Ho
Democracy has got to go
In the 21st century
Only fear can set you free

Answer to Kurai Kura's questions: (similar questions were raised
several times here and there and everywhere, and the Maoist
supporters usually give following answers)

A.Q1. You don't know politics, its better you keep your job
on. Its useless to to talk with naive person like. And,
Time will give your answer.

A2. N??? sometime back wrote: "The corrupts are gifts of the
system". They don't need to touch.

I will ask : the corrupts are there because of the system,
........................................or
the system is corrupt and whoever goes there will be corrupt.
(I think its because of corrupts occupying the system and if
corrupts can be thrown away, the system will work. Because it
is the best system so far tested in human society).

Someone else wrote/said
The peoples in villages are easy to attack, because the ruling
peoples in KTM will keep on enjoying and paying money for
maoist movement. Someone else said they do not attack upper
tier politicians because the upper tier will take very tough measures
against top tier Maoist leaders. Vice versa. Both of them have
close ties in back yard. Believe it or not.

Q3.Ans:Without dismantling everything, how can you get to power
and you have already witnessed the method of getting into power
in Afganistan. One maoist supporter said, the movement in Afganistan
is one of best approach and Maoist have learned a lesson from them.
(this was quoted before Sept. incident in NY). Most of the Maoists
have read the tricks used by Taliban and used to cite Taliban
movement as one of best way to get to power. Though, now they
claim publicly they are not Talibanistic Maoists, but, in real working
style you do not find the differences.

Q4. Ans: Its all "RAW"'s game plan. Well, top level indian politicians
might not be involved, but, the indian "Old British" trained intelligensia
in CBI and RAW most have involvements, jsut the way in Sri Lanka.
Thats why BRB or Prachanda never deny this. They want to bring
India into Nepal. Not the vice versa, .... Hahahahhah... confusing
the illeterate Nepalis.

Q5.Ans: BRB had written to The Nepali Times in a written interview
"You will enjoy the freedom as now". Its true that you will enjoy
freedom if you are Maoists, and its what you can observe in
villages. Don't you hear? The freedom enjoyed by Maoists. All
the peoples will be baptized to Maoists or deserve death or
Desh Nikala.

I just read Ashu's posting under the "most talented Ashu." People, does that mean I have a reason to fear for my life? Or my kins who are scattered all around the globe? -

Now, coming back to the question how to build/rebuild/take to the whatever century. I will give the , whatefveanswer what I thought while feeding mydaughter. It could be somewhat esoteric or not or whatever. We all know, communism is a total failure. We also know that it is a hoax, nothing but a hoax - a spectacular hoax, that Capitalism aleviates people's misery and take everybody to the land of honey and milk. Apparently they were not the answer humans were looking for. Short answer could be mix of everything. Then again wasn't panchayat system supposed to be that? At least that is what I had studied when I was in class 9 or 8.

So? As the postmodernists point out there is no Grand Truth. The truth, not even "truth" maybe but what appear to be the truth is true as long as the person says authoratively, "take it this is the truth" and give you all kinds of logic and so forth. What could be done? Well take responsibility. Think Globally act locally. Do your duties. I don't want to quote Gita here, but you know what I mean. We always blame the neta for all the ills. who are these neta anyways? weren't they citizens first before they were made netas? did not we read about that corrupt politician who was a teacher before? what was his name again? some joshi? Why does this happen again and again and again? Why are people moral have no base? why is it so shaky? What corrupts them so much? And why these citizens turned into netas took the country in such an absymal situation?

If everybody takes their duties seriously then things would be just fine, don't you think so?

But take it from me pal, this thing called communism is not the answer. The follower of this doctrine, i.e. the communists are very good at making people disappear. Now, you don't want to be disappered do you? Well, maybe invisible to see what those jennifer and bradds of the world doing to each other in their "intimate moment (quote goes to Sally)"but not disappear.
