Please disseminate the following information on Oprah show to all NASeA members asap and also post it in the web page. Thanks. OPRAH show - Nepal related issue Please be advised that the Oprah show Thursday January 18 will feature a girl from Nepal who had been involved in the trafficking into India. Also participating from Nepal will be Ms Anuradha Koirala. Nilu Prajapati of the local Nepali community has been working with the show as translator for Nepali language videos that were used in the taping. It appears that the program is comprised of a collection of women in similar circumstances from a number of Asian countries. Consequently, the section devoted to the Nepali girl will only be a part of the show. Please check your local listings and disseminate this information.

I did watch this particular Oprah show featuring women trafficking in Nepal. It is heartening to listen to the girl who had to go through so much hardship at the brothel in Mumbai. I must commend Ms.Anuradha Koirala for the noble work she and Maiti Nepal is doing. It is indeed nice to note that at least a woman is working hard towards rehabilitating these girls in the society.Lets hope we too will be able to contribute to this organisation in whatever small way we can.

A semi telephobe, I didn't watch the show, but I know Anuradha Koirala is a great lady. She delivers result, and works hard. A lady to be proud of! A greater truth is that,it is probably easier to unyoke the sexslaves than to provide for their adjustment after their traumatic time in the meretritious world!
