If one is completely comfortable being the sex one is, why would one have anything to say on another person's sexuality?
For those HOMOPHOBICS:
As someone who has had a very close person come out of the closet not very long ago, let me share my experience:
This child was a woman in a man's body from the time he was born. His choice of colors and clothes surpassed any woman's. His sensitiveness surpassed any woman's. He was merely crawling when he found women's shoes more attractive than any toys around. He grew up to be a wonderful son and brother. He is a wonderful person! Why then should we have any problems with the way he is?
His family don't, his parents have come to terms with it - then why should we be the judge of his way of life?
If this child had any choice, do you think he enjoyed being taunted? do you think he enjoys having 2 brothers who have turned out to be hetereosexuals and he is not? He didn't choose to be, he just IS!
To answer the initial question:
Homosexuality is an unspoken thing in Nepal. It has always existed though. How many of us haven't encountered men who walk like women? whose mannerisms have made our jaws drop? I always have! Anyone's older relative cut their hair at Keshav Dai's?? Tell me if he wasn't feminine? So like sex, it seems our Gods and goddesses were more comfortable with homosexuality! HELLO anyone heard of Naradmuni??
We don't feel uncomfortable looking at this god with a huge genital sticking out in Pashupati but we feel embarrassed to see couples walking around holding hands. Its okay that young girls pray to LINGUMS but god help them if they even THIK about the guy next door. UGH! The (ab)norms of our society!!
Okay I'm deviating from the original topic..therefore, let me say how proud I am to see that this website exists - if anyone needs it, it has to be our brothers who have no support from the society or maybe some family members.
And before you think I'm a homosexual, I'm not. But I am pro-choice in the full sense of the word

It is a mistake to think that all gay men are feminine and all lesbians butch. Gender identification and sexuality are two different things. Regardless, the point is people are what they are and a hatred-illed person's vile words are just that and nothing more.
Ten percent of every poulation is homosexual. It is a phenomenon in every culture, from the gender-bending hermaphodite singers in India to the practice of young men spending years as the "men-wives" of older men till they themselves can take "women-wives". Alexander the great is known to have been a homosexual.
Anyhow........ so what was the point of the original post now? tolerance....... hmmmmmmm...... live and let live! And if you have more to give, be compassionate and tell homophobes like the guy above, to shove it!

Have you read this, those people who talk a lot about "dick" are fascinated by it and thus deep down inside are themselves homosexuals.
Homosexuality exists, there is nothing wrong with the person. The only being you can blame for Homosexaulity is GOD, now do you want to blame GOD?

Why would anyone care what other people do in their love lives--unless there is something personally threatening in the matter?
So, my guess is that Homophobic is either:
(a) a repressed homosexual, for whom even the thought of gay people brings up such conflicting emotions and fears that he or she has to strike out against gays as a type of self defense against desires that he or she can't tolerate; or,
(b) someone who was a victim of homosexual rape or pedophilia. It does happen--though statistically it's a lot less frequent than rape or pedophilia committed by straight people.
So let's put this in context, have pity on poor Homophobia, and hope that he finds the strength to get the help that he so clearly needs before his anger gets the best of him and he hurts somebody besides himself.
