Was this article by any chance sponsored by Pat Buchanan? Blaming terrorism on immigration is like blaming autism on tooth paste. Far, way far fetched. The Right has finally found, or so they think, a solution to their anti immigration stance. That was clever very clever, indeed to sneak Susan Sontag's name in the same sentence where Gestapo was mentioned and present a convoluted logic. What a masterpiece of an article!

Can you answer your own question by contacting the author and asking him yourself? Of course. Also, you will please share with us which specific passages in the article make the simplistic assertion you proffer, namely, that immigration in general--rather than some specific aspect(s) of U.S. immigration, immigration policy, and enforcement--is to blame for 9/11.
For the rest of you reader response theory subscribers, read into this article whatever you wish; I posted it merely as a heads-up to folks who might be interested or affected by this.
