OK, folks,

It looks like "hamro" ADB is going to try it's hand at pushing what the evil, white man's World Bank failed to push through in the early 1990s. The clock's ticking, with one year max to kill this thing deader than a doornail. I think it's sick that Nepal has to go to Dilli and meet with B-desh, Bharat, and Bhutan (Beavis, Butthead, and Backstabber) regarding development of NEPAL'S own water resources (can you say "cost-plus electricity?"). I mean, Maharastafarian State Electricity Board (one of the largest in Indjah, i hear) refuses to pay for it's electricity--especially when it's generated by foreigners (Dabhol)--and these peeps think they'll get a better deal? Wouldn't it be funny if India bought power from Nepal and then sold it back to Nepal for a huge profit? Then again, Thankyouwhassup Jilla is in Nepal Pradesh, right?

"Nepal, Bhutan, India, Bangladesh agree to develop Arun

Energy secretaries of Nepal, Bhutan, India and Bangladesh met in New Delhi for two days on Saturday and Sunday and agreed to develop three hydro power plants along the Arun river in Sankhuwasabha to generate electricity for export, officials said.

Officials of the four countries of the South Asian sub region agreed to develop the 401 MW Arun III, the 350 MW Upper Arun and the 355 MW Lower Arun. The Asian Development Bank ( ADB ) has agreed to complete technical studies within one year to develop the projects to boost power trade among four countries of the South Asia Growth Triangle being pushed by the Bank.

The ADB will prepare the financial and technical aspects of the project.
